Unit6 An old man tried to move the mountainsSectionA(3a-3c)教学设计德兴市第二中学 郑慧燕一、教学目标:1、语言知识目标:1)学会掌握下列词汇:object, magic,turn .into.,stick,hide,tail,excite,western2)继续灵活运用as soon as,unless,so.that引导的状语从句。3)通过阅读提高学生们的阅读能力。2、技能目标:能用英语讲述简单的故事。3、情感态度价值观目标:多读中国传统文学名著,让学生们明白中国传统文化的博大、精深,并吸取中国传统中的精华。二、教学重、难点:1、 教学重点:1)能用英语讲述简单的故事并表达好恶。2)阅读短文获得相关信息的能力,通过阅读练习来提高学生的阅读能力。2、教学难点:能用英语讲述故事。 三、教学过程: Step1 Warming upT:(Today ,well have a competition,boys play against girls.If boys give me a right answer,Ill give you a flower.girls in the same way.)First of all,well watch a TV show, then please answer my questions: 1)Whats the name of the TV show? 2) Whos the main character? 3)Do you like him?Why?(Play a video about Journey to the west)Ask several students to answer the questions.(give some awards. )(设计意图:为后面的短文教学铺垫) Step2 Reading1. Teach the new words:T: Look at PPT:Teacher introduces the Monkey King in English, at the same time, teach the students to learn the new words:magic, stick, o.,hide, tail, excited,western,then read the new words,pay attention to the sound.2. Part 3a:Play the tape,then let the students find out the answers to the questions quickly.1) Which story is talked about?2) Who is the main character?3) What is he like? ( 设计意图:培养学生快速阅读能力)3. Part 3b:Read again,complete the chart about the Monkey King: What he can do /what he cant do ( read carefully)then ask the students to answer.4. True or false:1)Most pupils in England watch the TV program called Monkey in 1979 for the first time. 2)Journey to the West is a new Chinese book. Its new to Chinese children.3) The Monkey King is just a normal monkey. 4)The Monkey King uses a magic stick to fight the bad people.5)The Monkey Kings magic stick is so long that he cant hide it in his ear. 6)Western children likes to read this book because the Monkey King keeps fighting to help the weak and never give up. T:Read quickly,then decide its true or false.(The students who give a right answer will get an award.)(设计意图:通过快速阅读及细读策略,让学生掌握短文内容) Step 3 Practice1. Explain the usage of unless, so.that, and as soon as.Then let the students do the exercises.2. Finish Part 3c on page 43.(设计意图:巩固短文内容) Step 4 Retell the storyT:Four students a group,then retell the story about Journey to the west,several minutes later,Ill call three students to retell. (设计意图:让学生学以致用) Step 5 Guessing gamesLook at PPT:Give a picture of traditional Chinese story,several seconds later,let it disappear, then let the students guess:Which story is this?(If they cant say it in English ,they can say in Chinese.)Let the students guess 8 pictures,including the traditional chinese stories they have learnt.Finally, the teacher ask: Who is todays winner?(设计意图:通过游戏提高学生的学习兴趣,同时达到了解中国传统文化的目的) Step 6 Summary1、Learn the new words:object, magic, turn .into., stick, hide, tail, excite, western2、 Go on learning the usage of unless, as soon as, and so.that3、 Learn to tell a story.
