Unit 2 I think that mooncakes are delicious!Section A 3a-3c教学目标: 1:就festivals这一话题与同伴进行交流与会话。 2:使用略读查读的阅读策略获取3a文段中的信息。 3:了解中秋节被人们所寄予的情感。重难点:联系实际,运用目标语言描述对节日的观点,看法。教学流程:Step1:Review 1,Ask students to read the new words following the tapes. 2,Ask Ss to read 2d, then correct their pronunciation.Step2:New words and expressions Teach the new words in todays task. Ask Ss read it after the teacher, make sure they can pronounce them. Then tell Ss the Chinese meaning of those words. Teacher can use some picture and English expressions to describe it.Step 3: Lead-in Free talk: Ask students to talk about the following questions with their partner. 1:Whats your favorite festival? 2:Why do you like it most? Make the Ss understand the meanings of the questions. And discuss it with their partner. Then ask 2 or 3 Ss to talk about it. If someone talked about the Mid-Autumn Festival. T can show them the picture of mooncakes. If not, T can talk about his/her favorite festivalthe Mid-Autumn festival. Show them the picture of mooncakes,and discuss the following questions with groups: 1,How do you celebrate this festival? 2,Do you know why do we celebrate this festival? Then ask 2 or 3 Ss to talk about it.T: speak of Change, Id like to ask you some questions. Do you know the story about Change ? Can you tell us this story in English?Ss:.T: If not, I hope that tell this story after this class. So ,lets learn this passage together.Step 3:Before reading 1,Explain the title. Let Ss pay attention to the pronunciation about it. 2, Look at the picture, the questions in 3a and the title to the story on page 11. Then answer the questions below.1. Who is the girl in the picture?2. What does the passage talk about?3. Whats the meaning of “Full Moon, Full Feelings”? Step4: While reading Read the first sentence in each paragraphs and answer the questions. What does the passage mainly talk about?Read Para. 1 and answer the questions below.1. What do we eat on the Mid-Autumn Festival?2. Whats mooncakes look like? 3. Why we eat them on the Mid-Autumn Festival? Read Para. 2 and find What they have done. 1, Find out all the characters in Para.2.2,Read Para.2. then match the name with the events. Ss can discuss it with their group. Then ask 2 or 3 Ss to match the name with the events.3, Finish 3b.And check their anwsers.4, Read Para.2 again and finish the Ture or false. Discuss this in their groups. After that, ask 2 or 3 Ss to talk about it.5, Read Para. 3 and fill in the blanks in 3c.Step 5: After reading Retell the story. Working with groups to retell the story.
