They carried banners (横幅) that said “Mad cows drive our people mad”. These people were against the governments decision to buy US beef. They have fears (担心) of beef with “mad cow disease”. Several countries stopped buying US beef after a case (病例) of mad cow disease in 2003. Its quite humiliating (耻辱的),” said Kim Sook-yi. The 35-year-old woman joined the protest with her two children. At center of the wave of anger, South Korean cabinet (内阁) offered to step down earlier this month. The president also said sorry to his people last Thursday.
