Warming up and lead-in1.T: Class begins. Students: Stand up,stand up, Istand up.2. T: Just now, w enjoyed theApple Song.Apples are my favorite food. What kind of food do you like. T asks 3students to answer the question. T: So today we are going to talk about food and how to order food. Unit 10, I d like some noodles. Students read the title after the T for twice.II. New Words PresentationT: My friend Tom opened a new noodle restaurant. He asked me to recruit some waiters among us for him. Anyone who can get 2-3 pass cards can tale part in the role-play and get the job.(T show the pass cards to students.) First, Lets see what food are in Uncle Tom s noodle restaurant.PPT show the pictures of the food(new words).III. Practice the new wordsStudents read the words after the T. Students read the new words together. Play a game(一呼百应) to practice the new words. Game Rules: T ask a student to stand up to read a word, then the students in the whole group stand up to read the word together.Students learn the dishes in the menu. Challenge 1: 报菜名 Students remember the dishes words for one minute and then speak out the names of the dishes as quick as possible and as many as possible. Each winner can get one pass card.IV. Sentence Pattern PresentationT: After we have learned the dishes of Uncle Toms Noodle Restaurant, next we should learn how to serve the customers. Here goesthesentence. PPT shows the sentence pattern: -What would you like? -Id like the beef noodles. Then students read the sentence pattern after the T.V. Practice the sentence pattern and check.1. Students read the sentence pattern after the T.2. Play a game called Group Chain to practice the sentence pattern. Game Rules: T first the question “What would you like?”, then 4 groups answer and ask the question group by group according to the pictures on the PPT.3. Check : Challenge 2: Which group can ask and answer the most? Challenge Rules: Students in each group ask and answer one by one in 20seconds. The more, the better.4. T give each winner in each group a pass card.VI. Listening.Challenge 3: Listening Match Challenge Rules: Students who can complete the two listening tasks correctly can get pass cards.1. T guide students to look at the 3 specials in the picture of 1a and find out what the 3 specials are. T: We will listen to a conversation about ordering noodles, you should find out which special the person orders.2. Students listen to the CD, then check the answers.3. Students listen again and complete the conversation, and check the answers.4. T give the winners pass cards.VII. Role-play1. Students read the conversation in 1a. First read together, and then read in different roles.(Boys act as the waiter and girls act as the customer, and the exchange.)2.
