Emotional Objects:Love walking, protect our environment! 三、教学重点、难点:重点:能够听、说、读、写各类交通工具并在实际情景中会运用How do you get to school?句型进行交际活动。难点:take /ride the/ a to + 地点 = go/get to + 地点 + by walk to +地点 = go to + on foot四、学情分析: 经过一年多的英语学习,学生已具有一定的英语综合能力,熟悉了一般现在时第三人称单数动词的变化,积累了一定的英语词汇量,如相关的交通工具名称等,为本单元的活动做了很好的铺垫。因此,本课学习的困难并不太大.五、教学方法:Listening, speaking, writing, pair work六、教学教具:Multimedia, PPT,blackboard.七、教学设计Step Greetings and free talk. Warming-up and RevisionStep Lead in & Presentation1. Enjoy a good flash named “How do you get to school?”And ask“How many kinds of transportation can you see?How do you get to school?”2. Guessing game The teacher says a sentence to ask the students to guess what kind of transportation it is.-It is very useful, you may ride it to school. -A bike./ bicycle.-It is like a train but goes under the ground. -A subway.-It is like a bird. And it flies in the sky.-A plane.3.Listen to some sounds of transportation to learn the new words.Guess the words about transportation and repeat. 4. T:There are so many kinds of transportation aroundthe world. What kind of transportation do you like to choose ?Ask how do you get to school/Shanghai/ Hangzhou/Paris?Help the students answer:I take the subway./take the bus take a minibus /take a taxi take the train / take the plane take the ship/take the car ride my/a bike ride a motorbike/walk5. Present the target language in this period.Show some pictures and help students to answer the questions according to the sentence structure. 6. Show another expression with prepositional phrases. I ride a bike to school.= I get to school by bike.Step Practice.1.Practice the sentence structure according to the pictures. Try to use two kinds of expression.2.Work in pairs, ask and answer with your partner. A: How do you get to school? B: I walk to school. I ride a bike to school. I take a bus to school. I take a car to school. I take the subway to school. I take the train to school.Step Consolidation1. Open the books and turn to Page 13 to match the words with the pictures. 2. Listening practice.Listen and write the numbers next to the correct students in the picture above. Before listening,guide the students to familiar the names and the ways of transportation in the picture.3. Play the recording twice and finish it.Then share the answers Step Presentationa.Watch a short cartoon and ask “How does the green worm get to school?” Help them answer :He walks to school.b.Then ask “How does the butterfly get to school?”“He flies to school.”c.Show some pictures to students. Ask them to fill in the blanks. A: How do you get to school? B: I take the bus. /ride my bike/walk. C: How does he /she get to school? He/She takes the bus/rides his/her bike/walks. Step Play together and PK! Ask some groups to choose a box with different points.Do some exercises and summarize the key sentence structure.
