Unit6 When was it invented?Section B 3 (Writing)一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:1) 复习一般过去时态被动语态。 2) 能够用英语讲述自己所熟悉的某一发明的相关情况。3) 能结合本单元所学习的语言材料,并用英语介绍某一发明,掌握写作技巧。2. 情感态度价值观目标:养成勤于思考,善于发现的好习惯,培养学生的创造精神。 二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:结合本单元所学的词汇、句型及语法知识,进行综合运用。2. 教学难点:用英语介绍某一发明的相关情况。 三、教学过程Step one: Before writing:. Lets work in pairs.Show two pictures ;the light bulb and the car. Let students talk about them with the sentences of passive voice. T:At the beginning of the class, lets see two pictures. Lets invent:Show a normal problem that we may have in our daily life. For example, We often get hurt by the hot water in the cup. Show the new invention. It is a cup that can tell you the temperature of the water. Suppose students are the inventors. Let them talk about the cup.T: In our daily life, we may often get hurt by the hot water in the cup. Let the students understand the structure better.T: So if we want to describe an invention, what should we think about? We may use these questions, right? What is the invention?Who invented it?Invention When was it invented?What is it used for?【设计意图】:通过思维导图,让学生对于一项发明的几个方面有个整体的认识和了解,激发学生思考写作内容。V. Lets read and fill in the blanks. Let students fill in the blanks with the passive voice. It is an article about the new invention.T: Here is a small article about the new invention flying disk. I need you to fill in the blanks with the passive voice. 【设计意图】:围绕写作的话题,给出一篇关于新发明的小作文,让学生填入被动语态,使得他们对被动语态加深印象,小贴士提醒学生要正确使用被动语态。VI. Lets read and fill in the blanks.Let students fill in the blanks with the linking words. Linking words can make the article better.T: Lets make the article better. We can add some linking words. When we write, we should also pay attention to the linking words.【设计意图】:该环节让学生填入linking words, 让学生加深印象,提醒学生要正确使用linking words.Step two: While writing . Lets be a great inventor.Take the special pen as an example, ask students to make notes in 3a.T: Think of something that you do not like to do. Then think of an invention that could help you. Make notes.【设计意图】:通过老师举例示范,让学生学会自己思考,这也说明写作的灵感往往来自解决生活中困难的实际需求。. Lets read the sample writing.Give a sample writing, let the students read together. T: Here is a sample writing. Lets read together.【设计意图】:通过欣赏品读范文,加深对被动语态的理解。. Lets find out the passive voice.Give students questions one by one about who, what, when, and use. Ask them to find out the passive voice. Lets make it better.Ask students to make the sample writing better. Help them to add the beginning like this: Of all the inventions, my favorite is the special pen.T: It is a good writing, right? But I think we can make it better. How about adding a beginning like this: Of all the inventions, my favorite is the special pen.【设计意图】: 该环节旨在对于一篇良好的范文我们可以通过加工,使之成为更好的文章。通过添加良好的开头,可以引出文章的中心。V. Lets make it better.Help students to add an ending . Let the students discuss.Then give an example.T: What ending can we add? What about adding an ending like this: I believe itll become one of the most important parts of peoples life. I think it will be much better than before. Do you agree with me?【设计意图】:该环节旨在给文章添加一个发表自我看法的结尾,会使得文章更具有完整性,引人思考。VI. Lets make it better.Let students focus on the body part, ask them if we can add some linking words. Then help them to add some useful linking words.T: As for the body part, do you think we can add some linking words to make it much better. Lets add like this: as we know; it is said that; though; whats more; so.【设计意图】:通过对于linking words 的添加,加上之前开头结尾的添加,构成一篇三段式的整体性的作文,让学生一目了然。VII. Lets summarize.Give the whole writing structure that students have learnt before. It can be divided into three parts: beginning, body, ending. In the body part, give two tips about passive voice and linking words.T: So the writing can be divided into three parts: beginning, body, ending. As for the beginning, we can use this sentence structure: Of all the inventions, my favorite is As for the body, it is the most important part. We should write more in this part, such as passive voice, some linking words. As for the ending, we can write like this: I believe itll become one of the most important parts of peoples life.【设计意图】:通过对整个写作框架的解读,学生可以有个宏观的了解, 并给出小贴士,让学生在自己的写作中学会运用passive voice 和linking words.VIIILets write.Write a description of your favorite invention.T: Now its your turn to write your own favorite invention. You should correct your partners writing and give an assessment.
