MODULE 2 TEACHING PLANContent:Module 2 Me,my parents and my friends Junior 1 , New standard English一、题材内容本模块以学生和他们的父母,朋友为中心,以他们擅长的体育运动和从事的职业为话题。十分符合学生的实际。刚刚升入中学的学生彼此还不很熟悉,有必要相互了解。教学中应结合学生生活实际情况,灵活掌握教学过程,组织教学内容,丰富学生知识,拓展学生视野。二、教学目标1) 语言知识:语音/p/ /b/ /t/ /d/ /k/g/词汇parent, can, basketball, piano, table, tennis, ride, horse, welcome, international, factory, hotel, university, hospital, office, doctor, worker, manager, secretary, photo词组Play basketball, ride a bike, play the piano, be from语法1动词can 表示能力的肯定,疑问与否定形式; 灵活运用,提高综合运用能力。2. this 和these的用法功能自我介绍。话题以学生和父母,朋友为中心,以他们擅长的体育运动和从事的职业为话题2) 语言技能:听听懂所擅长的体育项目的简短对话,提高学生实际应用能力。说能利用can 做自我介绍或询问对方做什么事情;流利的说出含有本模块生词、短语。读能读懂关于介绍人物职业的简单文章。 进行简单的阅读技能训练写1.能写出有关职业和擅长的简短的句子2.能分清大小写及正确使用句号。演示与表达能在同学之间进行真实的相互介绍.3)学习策略学习一定程度形成自主学习,有效交际、信息处理、英语思维能力。认知联系,归纳,推测等技能调控从同伴处得到反馈,对自己在叙述及作文中的错误进行修改交际学习运用恰当词语介绍 擅长的体育运动和从事的职业资源通过其他资源获取更多自我介绍的信息。自学策略培养话题和词汇的语言域意识,形成话题联想的习惯。合作学习策略掌握询问和澄清策略。掌握搭配策略。4)文化意识:中外对比了解不同国家的语言差异,能从不同的拼写当中判断是哪种语言,如汉语,阿拉伯语,俄语等。5)情感态度:说话时要尊重对方的习惯,让对方感觉舒服,借以培养良好的情感.参加各种英语活动,克服困难,在新环境中进一步树立准确的语言学习观。6)任务: 能够运用所学句型结构向不同的朋友咨询情况或介绍自己的情况.三、教学重点和难点 重点:1如何使用地道的英语介绍人们擅长的体育运动和从事的职业。礼貌的进行日常对话。2动词can 表示能力的肯定,疑问与否定形式;。 难点:能用恰当地道的英语介绍人们擅长的体育运动和从事的职业。四、教学方法基于课程改革的理念及“第二语言习得论”,培养实现人的可持续发展和人的主体精神的自我完善和发展所必需的能力和素质,运用任务型教学途径,围绕核心任务,设定小任务,开展和谐愉悦的课堂活动,强调兴趣第一的原则,初步设计“PTP”自主学习立体模式:pre-tasktask-cyclepost-task。五、教材处理核心任务:能够运用所学句型结构向不同的朋友介绍人们擅长的体育运动和从事的职业。三个环节如下:pre-task:学生联系生活实际,激活背景知识,。task cycle:通过整个模块的听说读写的训练,强化“介绍人们擅长的体育运动和从事的职业。”的表达能力,为完成任务做好铺垫post-task):达成任务,展示成果,反馈学习情况六、教材安排根据学生学习英语的特点和规律,我们把本模块划分为5课时:Period 1: Listening and Vocabulary & pronunciation Period 2 Vocabulary and Reading Period 3. Speaking and Writing Period 4. Language in use Period 5. Around the world &Module Task Period 1: Listening and Vocabulary& pronunciation Teaching Content : Listening and Vocabulary & pronunciation Teaching Aims and Demands:1. Language Knowledge Key vocabulary: parent, can, basketball, piano, table, tennis, ride, horse, welcome, international Key structure: can, cant Im from(重点)2, Listening skill: To process information of sports in listening. Improve the students listening ability. (难点)3.Affection and attitudes: We should respect the other people . .Learning strategies:Bottom up ,Interactive approach and listening the tape and do some exercises.Teaching Aids :Multi-Media (Tape recorder , video, OHP, handout)Teaching Procedures:Part I Part I: Revision Task:Help students to revise what is learnt in last module. Directions:1.The students introduce themselves each other . eg. S : My name is .Whats your name? S: S:How are you,? S :Fine ,thank you. And you 2.Bring some pictures of famous people from China , England and America into class.Talk about them.His name is He is fromHe is 24 years old.Part II: Lead in: 1 .activity 1on page 8 Task: Match the words with the picturesDirections:Step one: Read through the words in the box and have the Ss. Repeat them after you chorally and individually.Step two :Ask the students to do activity 1on page 8. Step three: Check their answers with a partner. Step four : Call back the answer in a whole- class setting.Step five: Summarize :Part III: Listening and VocabularyTask : To understand conversations .Improve the students listening ability .1 .activity 2 on page 8 Directions:Step one: Explain that the students have to check in the boxes of the avtions which Lingling says she can do.Step two : Play the recording once while they just listen. Step three Play the recording once again for them to Check the answers with a partner.Step four : Play the recording once again for them, then once again to check. with a partner.Call back the answer in a whole- class setting.Step five: Summarize : Ask the students to call out the answers with a partner.2. Activity 3.on page 8. .Task: Listen and read: Directions:Step one: Play the recording and ask the Ss. to listen and read the conversation.Step two : Play the recording again and pause after each phrase, asking the Ss. to repeat chorally and individually.Step three: Put the Ss. into groups of 4 to practise the dialogue. Step four: They should repeat it several times, changing the roles each time.4. Listen and check the true sentences Directions:Step one: Explain by saying “This activity is designed to check if you have understood the main ideas of the activity. Its not necessary to learn every new word.” Step two : Ask the Ss. to listen and decide which sentences are true Step three: Play the recording once again for them, then once again to check. with a partner.Call back the answer in a whole- class setting. Step four: Ask different students to ask and answer the questions.Part IV: pronunciation 1.Task: Grasp 6 phonemes/p/ /b/ /t/ /d/ /k/g/ Directions:Step one: Play the recording and ask the Ss. to listen and read the 6 phonemes/p/ /b/ /t/ /d/ /k/g/Step two : Play the recording again and pause after each phrase, asking the Ss. to repeat chorally and individually.Step three: Put the Ss. into groups of 4 to practise them.2.Task: Grasp the difference in pronunciation between can and cant Directions:Step one: Play the recording and ask the Ss. to listen and read the sentences. Step two :Point out the difference in pronunciation between them. Step three: Play the recording again and pause after each sentence, asking the Ss. to repeat chorally and individually.Part V.: A test Listen to a story and translate it into Chinese.Part IV: Homework Recite the short passage as fluently as possible.Period 2 Vocabulary and Reading Teaching Content: Vocabulary and ReadingTeaching Aims and Demands:1.Language knowledge:New words: factory, hotel, university, hospital, office, doctor, worker, manager, secretary,Key structure: My mother is an/a(重点)2.Reading skill:( 1). To understand texts concerning introduction of jobs. To get information of jobs in reading.(2). Improve the students reading ability. (3.Affection and attitudes: We should respect the other people .Learning strategies: Bottom-up; Interactive approach.Teaching Aids :Multi-Media (Tape recorder , video, OHP, handout)Teaching Procedures:Part I: Revision1. Help students to revise what is learnt in Period one of this module.Part II : PreparationTask: Catch new wordsDirections:Step one: Lead in the study of the text by carrying out the following activities:(1). Ask and answer the questions according to activity “What public places have you been?”“ What have you seen there?”(Ask students to speak out as many as they can) (2) Put the Ss. in pairs to practice them Step two : Match the words with the pictures.(1). Make sure the Ss. Understand what the words mean and pronounce them correctly.(2). Ask the students to match the words with the pictures individually.(3). . Ask the students to check with a partner.(4).Call back the answer in a whole- class setting.Step three: Label the people in activity 1.(1). Read through the 6 names of jobs in the box and have the Ss. Repeat them after you.(2).Ask them to label the people in the pictures in activity 1. Part III: Pre-reading activities1.Task: Talk about: What are your parents jobs?Directions:Step one: Ask one or two students answer the questions first.Step two : Pair the Ss. to ask and answer.Step three: Circulate and provide the names of any other jobs they need. Such as shop worker, office worker, hospital worker, engineer, policeman, fireman, housewife2. .Task: Introduce this is/ these are .Directions:Step one: Introduce this is/ these are by using simple classroom objects. Eg . book, pen, pencil, desk, windowStep two :Do this several times with different objects, gradually eliciting the sentences from the Ss. rather than giving them yourself.Part IV : Reading 1. Task: Label the pictures.Directions:Step one:Read out the 6 sentences and have the Ss. Repeat them after you.Step two: Ss read the passage and do activity 4 individually and check with a partner.Step three: Call back the answers from the whole class.2. Task: complete the table. To ask and answer the same questions to each other.Step two: Ask them to keep a note of their partners answers.Step three: Put them in new pairs and have them ask and answer the same questions.Step four: Call back a few examples from some pairs in a whole-class setting.Part II WritingTask : Write some sentences Activity 6: Write some sentences with full stops and capital letters.DirectionsStep One: Go through the punctuation marks and capital letters in the sentences with the class, making sure they understand what is used ,where and whyStep two: Ask them to punctuate the sentence individually and check their answers with a friend.Step three: Call back the answers from the whole class, and write them on the board.Activity 7: Write some sentences for you.DirectionsStep One: Ask the Ss. to do this individually .Step two: They can then exchange their work with a partner for peer correction.Step three: Call back the answers from the whole class,Part III: RecallingRecall what we learn today.Part IV: A test翻译句子:1.你姐姐叫什么名字?2.你会说英语吗?3.他回打篮球吗?4.你妈妈是医生吗?Part V: Homework: Do Ex.11 on page 74.Period 4. Ask the Ss. To repeat the sentences in the box.3. Ask” Can you make other similar examples?”Part III: Talk about your family photoTask : Talk about your family photoDirections1.Look at the example and ensure that the Ss. Know what to do.2.Ask one of them to introduce his family using what we have learned .Then ask the Ss. to write the sentences individually. 3.Ask one or two to present their friend to the whole class.Note: Try not to correct mistakes too often.Part IV: Practise1.Ask the Ss. to do activity 2 and 3 on page 12 and activity 4 on page 13.Directions(1). Look at the example and ensure that the Ss. Know what to do.(2). Ask the Ss. to write the sentences individually. (3).Check their answers with a friend.(4).
