Teaching procedure Step 1 Warming up -Get Ss to recognize the famous traditional Chinese tales by guessing games in a competition.-Talk about the pictures of both Chinese and Western folk stories or fairy tales , using the target language.Sept 2 . Representation -Brainstorm on the famous Chinese and Western tales that kids are interested in .-Encourage top Ss to tell the stories in their own language in the front.-Do a survey about their own stories that are unforgettable .Step 3 Task 1-Before reading or listening the text, have Ss predict the main idea of the passage in 3a.-Discuss on the guided questions listed in 3a in small groups after watching the video .- Listening practice on 3a , have Ss circle the key information for the 1st time .Step 4.
