Unit7 How much are these pants?(Section A)I. The main content The topic of this unit is shopping. In this period, the students will learn the words about clothes, and how to ask and answer the prices. After the study of this unit, the students will know how to be a polite shopper in an English way.II. Teaching aims1. Ability aims: Enable the students to talk about the prices with how much and to be a polite shopper in an English way.3. Emotion aims: The content of this unit is close to the students life, so it will attract students easily and inspire them to fall interest in learning English. And it can also get students to learn how to say thanks to others by practicing conversations about shopping.III. Difficulties and focus1. Learn the words about clothes and make clear about the singular words and the plural words;2. Learn to use the questions and the answers led by how much;3. Learn to use the manner diction about going shopping.IV. Teaching and studying methodsI use student-centered, task-based, audio-visual teaching approach and co-operation study teaching methods to deal with the material.V. Teaching procedureStep1. Ok, can you guess the price of it? I give you three choices, ¥8,¥10,¥15 Yes, you are right. Its .yuan. And today we will learn a new unit. Unit7. How much are these pants?Step2. Presentation-New words1. Teach the words about clothes by using cards, ask the students to read them after me and pay attention to the spellings.2. After the students master these words, play a guessing game with word cards. First, get the students to remember all the words on the cards. Then, I choose one card and let the students to guess what it is. 3. Finish 1a of section A.4. Get the students to make clear about the single words and plural words about clothes.Single words: shirt, T-shirt, skirt, jacket, sweater, bag, hat. Plural words: pants, shorts, socks, shoes.Then ask the students to use thisthat thesethose to describe these words.Step3. Presentation-Sentence patterns1. Get the students to fill in the sentences with “isare” to check if they master the difference between the singular words and plural words.- How much _ this shirt? - How much _ these socks?- _ _ seven yuan. - _ _ two yuan.
