He always tended to sandwich the social reality into his works and The Time Machine was his maiden scientific book, with which he explored a new territory of science fiction. Two kinds of creatures, the Eloi and the Morlock, which he wrote in the book, was referred to the rich and the poor. The conflicts and problems between these two classes were revealed vividly by his careful describe. While nowadays, the developments of these groups of people still matter a lot to our society, and even the future of us, mankind. Though we can t predict that what will happen in the future, we still should pay more attention to each step we take, because every decision we make can decide what we are and where we head on. Too many things emerged from my mind when I read this book, and I was pretty sure that it made a profound sense to our current society, though it was written over one hundred years ago. Morlocks, who live in the underground and are afraid of the sun shine, make every thing, including foods, clothes and machines, for Elois, but they are feed on Elois. On the contrary, Elois are very frail and they do nothing everyday but savor the convenience Morlocks bring about, even at the risk of being eaten. One way in which Elois is similar to Morlocks is that they re all prefer to stay what they are, rather than to make a change, to give up the tiring work everyday, to get out of the darkness and enjoy the sunshine, to cut out killing time with nothing to do, to insure their security from being eaten. Unfortunately, the situation does not merely occur in 802701 years later in scientific novels. Nowadays, our society is never short of these two types of people. Some businessmen produce certain foods, which are harmful to our health, in order to make great profits, instead of being grateful to make contributions to our society. Also there are certain people with no jobs, who live in a remote area of our society, tending to be cynical and doing things to pay back our society. There is no doubt that these two kinds of people are holding back the development of our society. I am not meant to judge anyone in our society, but actually some businessmen take a bad effect on our life and leave us great damages to our mental and physic health. For instance, everyday many gossip news ran into the corner of our eyes about the extravagant lives of the rich-second generation. Holding parties at ships, driving famous cars, and being accompanied by several fashion models is just a staple food for them. What worse, some of them even are dropped out of school due to taking drugs or breaking the lawn. In addiction, their behaviors are leading a tread of luxury in the new generation and greatly influenced the view of our world of many teenagers. Besides this kind of leavening influence to our teens, some businessmen with no responsibilities to our folks, caused great damages to our society directly. Sanlu Group could be a typic example. It built a nice fame after years of hard-working, yet it broke our hearts with the Sanlu milk powder incident. More than thirty thousand babies suffered from kidney calculi, which was a type of disease in kidney. While the Sanlu group was just concentrated on making more money and ignored the future of those babies. So selfish and cold-hearted it was that I could not stop connecting them with Elois. Living in the sunshine and savoring the entertainment everyday, they care about themselves more than anyone else. Even their parents are killed by Morlocks, they still think there is nothing to do with them. Luckily, the whole world they live in is in the darkness without share and love in the novel, but ours is not. It really hard to explain why the world tended out to be like that in 802701 years later, but we probably can figure out what is wrong with the rich. The reason why the rich-second generation is going beyond their way lies in the education. A research made by the China Center Education Development Office showed that only fifteen per cent of parents payed enough heed to their children education. Most of them seldom help their children with homeworks, seldom have family dinner on Friday night, even seldom have a chat with with their children over a cup of coffee in order to get high profits at their work, but the fact is the parents is the best teachers and take a great effort on them. There is no wonder that children are easier to step on a wrong road without the accompany of their parents. As far as those parents are concerned, they have totally been money-making machines without a heart of thanksgiving. As an old saying goes that “the more you can get, the more you want to get”. Money is so full of magic that it can make you forget who you are and who is always support you quietly behind your back. Just like Sanlu group forgot the people stand by them and made the fake milk powder to pursue higher profits. Maybe Elois degenerates out of the similar reasons. To the opposite sites of the rich, still many people are straggling for a way out to get other s recognition though tons of difficulties. Being isolated from the crowded in a modern city must be really miserable for them. The convenient subway, the green parks, and the pubs, everything is great but not for them. Once the fence of their hearts break up, they will spare every effort to destroy all of this which do not belong to them to rebuild the balance of the world. I have heard several tragedies that someone broke into the kindergartner and killed those innocent kids. It is unbelievable that our personalities can develop into so cruel.
