in the class and they are equally divided into 10 groups The topic is about sports which is close to our daily life Students are familiar with the subject It is the first time for them to learn linking words in a systematical and organized way Students have learned about some simple easy expressions about sports but haven t mastered some high class vocabulary about this subject Teaching material Before writing students have learned the text The story of Atlanta in the previous lesson which is concerned with the sport running and the Olympic Games This text helps students know more about the subject Besides the writing task has provided some instructions for students to think about how did you become interested in that sport who is your favourite athlete what do you do to improve your skill Students are able to divert their thinking with the guidance Teaching objectives After this writing class students are able to 1 Write a short passage about their favorite sports
