Teaching Design of Recycle2 PEP BOOK The first period Teaching aims:1. Improve the students listening and speaking skills in communicating with others.2. Lead the students to know more about American culture.Teaching key points:1.To master the sentences: Merry Christmas! How beautiful! 2.And to master the new words: Father Christmas、turkey、singerTeaching aids:1.Flash cards of new words.2.The PPT and the listening material3.Some small gifts.Teaching steps:Step1 Warm-up/Revision1.The teacher shows the flash cards of the words to review. 2.Play a game: Listen and do.The teacher put some cards on the teachers desk and ask one student to look and act. Let other students guess.设计意图:通过趣味卡片复习旧知识,为学习新知识做好铺垫,听做游戏运用TPR教学法充分调动学生的积极性。Step2 Presentation1.Free talkHow many rooms are there in your house?What are they?Imagine a situation that you invite some friends to your house.You should ask them :What would you like ?Then the teacher shows many pictures of food. Such as turkey、 beef potato. Lead the students to answer by “Id like some potatoes. ”T:“I d like turkey. Would you like it?”Ss:“Yes, Id like the turkey. No ,I wouldnt like the turkey.”2.Merry Christmas!Let the students watch the PPT.T:What day is it today? Today is Christmas Day. Whos he? He is Father Christmas. So many gifts!Play the song A Merry Christmas. Let the students sing and clap hands. And ask them to say” Merry Christmas!” to each other.3.Let the students watch the video and discuss:Who are they?Where is Mike?How many people in the story?What can you see?4. Let the students read the dialogue in different roles.
