Software Installation Lock my companys software CD-ROM into your computer CD-ROM drive (without access the card-issuing machine to the computer), and then double-click the CD-ROM drive with the mouse to open the CD-ROM, and then double-click the file RF.exe to install it. This lock software is installed by default in the D drive.2. hardware, and USB driver installation After the completion of software installation, insert the data line interface of the card machine into the computer USB port, and make sure that the access is good, with no loosening. This time, your desktop will be prompted to find a new hardware. You are prompted to Welcome to the found new Hardware Wizard. click Next ,Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) and then click Next. First in the Browse, select C Division disk (USB drive CP210x Win2k-XP is automatically installed on the C drive directory), and then select Do not search, I will choose the driver to install. click “Next”.:And then click “Next”. It will prompt that the Hardware Update Wizard is completed, which means that USB drive installation is successful. the Setting of translation from USB to Com Num1. Right-clickMy Computer and operate it like thisMy Computer Properties Hardware Device Manager, and then examine the CP210X on thePort column, and remember the number of Serial port.2. Left-clickstaron the lower-left corner of Desktop, and operate it like this Star ProgrammerLock Management Software , and then click the function ofCom port setting and change the number of Serial port with the number you have examined as above. Save it by clickingYescommand and the operation is successful. As picture:. Starting the softwareDouble-click the red SC icon on the desktop, put the authorization card provided by our company into the card machine, and click on “read the authorization card”, to complete the authorization parameter setting. After then, in the login window, selecting manage employee ID “system”, with password “sys”, will enable you to access the software main interface successfully. This administrator can operate all the features of this system. Basic data management Lock authorization:After the lock is installed on the door, you must first authorize it before setting the room number.method: keep the card flat into the sensing area, then grasp the lock oblique tongue using the mechanical key (you will hear a tick sound) , and then release the mechanical key and hear two sounds, which indicates the authorization success.4.1. Room type definition Click on “type definition” in the basic data, then choose “room” in the department, and type the relevant room type in the room type place, such as standard room and so on.4.2 Room parameter setting 4.2.1 increasing room numbers The first method: click on room management in the menu bar, and the room management dialog box will be popped out. If you want to increase a single room number, click the “Add” button. In the pop-up dialog box, enter the area number, such as 01 (indicating area 1), building number such as 01 (indicating building 1), and floor number, such as 02 (indicating the 2nd floor). Then, enter the room number, such as 8201 (the room number consists of four digits. The first one as a virtual number can be 8 or 0, the second is the floor number, and the third and fourth indicate the room number). Select “available” for the housing state. Choose “rent room” for the mode. Select the room type, such as “standard”. Then, enter the room price (the system focuses on the card, so the room price is not very important), and the maximum number of the card (if you enter 2, then you can only give 2 cards maximally to your customers for this room). At last, click on “ok” to save the above information.After one room number is completed, you can click on “copy” to increase room numbers continuously. For example, when room number 8201 is completed, by clicking on “copy”, you can increase room numbers 8202, 8203 and so on. If a room number is unwanted (e.g.: 8204), you can select the room number and then click on “Delete” to delete this room number. If you want to increase suites, select Suite Room tick. Then, tick A, B, C, D which representing four rooms. If there are several suites in the same floor, choose non-duplicate IDs.The second method is to increase in batches. For example, we want to increase fifteen rooms from 8201 to 8215 on the same floor. First, enter the area number, building number, and floor number. Next, enter 8201 and 8215 in the two blanks respectively, indicating room numbers from 8201 to 8215. Then, select the type, status, mode, price, and card numbers. Finally, click on “increase in batches”. In this way, rooms from 8201-8230 on the same floor are successfully increased into the system.If some of the room numbers (e.g. 8204) is unwanted, you can first select the room number and then click “Delete” to delete it.If you find any room number missed, you can click “Add” again to increase these room numbers.4.2.2 Modify the Room informationIf the room information is incorrect, you can modify it by opening room parameter setting from the menu bar, selecting the corresponding room number, then clicking “Modify” to modify the relevant information of this room, and then save.4.2.3 Room number set card (installation card)Room number set cards (also known as installation cards) set the room numbers that have already been entered into the computer to the lock through the room card.Method: First, before making the installation card, we must make sure that the room number has been authorized. Then in room parameter setting, select the room number you want to set, such as the 8201 room number. Put a blank card on the card machine, and then click on making card, which will make the room card for room 8201 successfully. To distinguish different installation cards, youd better mark them with corresponding labels. One card corresponds to a lock. For the rest rooms of the hotel, use the same method to make room cards. After making a successful installation of the cards, swipe each card in the corresponding lock to set the room number to the lock. After then, each card will be able to unlock the corresponding room. Installation card must be recycled after use.4.2.4 Timing cardsTiming cards synchronize the time on the computer with the time on the door locks. When the lock time is not synchronized with the computer, we make a timing card to swipe on the lock to adjust its time.Methods: In the menu bar, click on the smartcard management, and then click on making set card, and then timing card. The default compensation time is 5 minutes (which means you have to swipe the timing card on the lock within 5 minutes to make sure its effectiveness. If time exceeds, you cannot use this card but to remake a timing card). The card user may be ignored. When swiping the timing card on the lock, two sounds suggest the success of time adjusting. One timing card is enough to adjust all the lock time by just swiping it on each lock. The timing card is for temporary use, which should be cleared after use.4.2.5 Making Guest Card In the room state map, each square represents a room. Double-click an empty square to make cards for the room. Making Cards for rooms charging by days The system registers one day by default. If the guests want to live for more than one day, change the number of days in “use time” column or select the time that the guests want to live to. And then click on making card and registration. If there is only a head and a 1 shown in the room on the room state map, it means that you have issued one card for this room. If you want to add one more card, just right click the room and then click on making peer card. Part-time room registration For part-time room registration, double-click an empty room, and select part-time room in the registration interface. The default time is two hours for part-time rooms. And then click on making card registration. There will be a clock, a head and a 1, indicating one issued card, displayed in the successfully registered room on the room state map. Made on behalf of this room is only a part-time card rooms. If one more card is needed, just right click the room to make a peer card. 4.2.6 Check-outCheck out with cards: when guests check out, put their cards flat on the card machine, and then double-click the room, leading to the check-out interface. Click on check out to check out and clear the card information. If there are two cards for the room, the room state will be check-out only if the two cards are both returned. Otherwise, the room state will show that there is still one guest living in the room.Check out without cards: when guests lost their cards or run away without checking out, right click upon the room and then check-out without cards. Various cards making method 5.1 Special door cards General Cards: Click on smart card management and then click the general card, and then enter the card user (you could not enter). Click on making card, and the system will prompt the success of the general card. The general card has the largest privileges. As long as being authorized, it will be able to unlock any rooms, regardless of the room number and time. Even rooms that are locked from inside can be unlocked by the general card. Building Card: The method to make building card is similar with that to make general card. The privilege is also the same, except that the building card can only open the rooms corresponding to the building while the general card can open the rooms of all buildings. Building card can open doors that are locked from inside. Floor Card: Click on smart card management, and then click on special door card, and then click the floor card. Select the building number, such as 01, and then select the floor numbers, such as 02, and then select the time period, generally one year by default. And then select the time period each day, such as 00:00 to 23:59, meaning that the floor card can unlock in a whole day, and 08:00 to 12:00, meaning it can unlock only between 8 oclock and 12 oclock. If you want one floor card to be able to open several floors, just select several floors and then make the card. One floor card can only unlock rooms on the corresponding floor(s), and can not unlock the door locked from inside.Area Card: Area card divides hotel rooms into one or several areas, with each area card opening the corresponding area only. Click on smart card management, and then click making a special door card, and then area card to make area card. Each card can only open the doors corresponding to the area, even when the doors are locked from inside. Emergency Card: Emergency card is a temporary card made to handle special circumstances. Swipe the emergency card once to open the door persistently, and twice to lock the door. Click on the smart card management in the menu bar, and then click on special door card, and then click emergency card button to make emergency card. A swipe of other door card on the lock will automatically turn the door to be locked. Emergency card is able to open locks locked from inside.5.2 Setting Card Timing CardSee section 4.2. 4.Clear Card Clear card can remove the room number and time inside the doors, but cannot remove authorization information. Only the general card can open doors after the cleanup.Capture CardCapture card collects the record of opening doors using cards or mechanical keys. Method: Click on smart card management, and then click making setting card, and then click on capture card. When the capture card is made successfully, swipe it on the door. After you hear a “tick” sound and see the green light lighting a few seconds long, the collection of information inside the lock succeeds. The information collected in the capture card can only be read out through the capture machine provided by our company. Area setting Card Area setting cards divide the hotel rooms into different zones. Then, area card will be able to open the locks of the corresponding area. Unlock check card Unlock check card is used to check who used what card to open the door at what time. Method: Click on card operation, and then click setting card type, and then select unlock check card in the pop-up dialog box. And then insert a blank card in the card machine to make the card. . System ManagementAdministrators ID can operate all the functions of the lock management software, and has the right to add or delete other user operators and set permissions.System parameter setting: set the hotels check-out time and part-time room time, according to the actual situation of the hotel.Remove the card records: with the lock software being used for a long time, the data inside can be various and you can rid of them or clear the card records within a certain period of time. Empty: Clear all the data except the room number and the selection of room state such as dirty or available after check-out. The system sets the check-out room as available room and part-time room time as 2 hours, by default.Data Backup: If you want to reinstall the system, you can back up the lock data to avoid resetting data next time. Data backup is addressed in the D disk directory, and the file name is the date of the day. For example, if data backup is taken on 2009 May 28, then the file name is 2009528sccicc.bak.Data clear: delete all the card records, reports data within the software, except the room number, and room type. Restore a backup: if you want to restore the previous data, such as data on May 28, 2009, click on restore a backup. And then look to the D drive directory for 2009528sccicc.bak, and click on it, and then click OK. Then, the data on that day is restored successfully. Then, what is displayed on the room status is the data prior to May 29, 2009.Operator Definition: to increase operator by entering the operators name, job number, and password.Operator license: power distribution between the operators. Open rights management window, first click the operator you want to assign privileges. The list on the right displays the functions to be authorized. T represents enabled, while F represents disabled (T and F are directly used on the keyboard). After the selection of authorization, click Save. Usually, the system considers the increased operator as an ordinary operator by default.Operator control: you can view, modify or delete the operators password. Change Password: The operator can change their own password. Enter the previous password, and then enter a new password, and repeat the new password. After then, password is changed successfully. .Front desk operations 1. Check-in registrationRegistration includes individual registration and team registrationIndividual Registration In the room state map, each square represents a room. Then, enter the number of days of occupancy and click making card. Follow the same step for other rooms. After the card is issued, there will be a 1 appearing after the room number in the white list, indicating that this room has been issued. Finally enter the team name, and then save. Registration of team is successful3. Guests continuing occupancyIf the guest want to continue occupancy when previously issued guest cards expire, put the previous card into the card machine, right-click the ro
