When people say”culture”,we think of art and history.2.We all know and love the black mouse with two large round ears-Mickey Mouse.3.Over 80 years ago,he first appeared in the cartoon Steamboat Willie.4.One of the main reasons is that Mickey was like a common man,but he always tried to face any danger.5.However,he was always already to try his best.技能目标Ability goals:1. Enable the students to learn to read and master some reading strategies.2. Know more about different cultures by reading the passage. 3. To train Ss listening, speaking , reading and writing skills.情感态度目标Emotion goals:1. Study hard,then it will be possible for you to succeed .2. Talk about their likes and dislikes To help Ss relax and revise the last lessonLead-inStep 2leadinShow avideo米奇妙妙屋a.Students will be very interested.To lead in the topic of this period and attract students interestPre-readingStep 3Ask questions:(1) Whats the main character in the cartoon ?(2)Who created him?Show some flash to introduce something about Walt Disney.Ss can know him in their mind and something about Disney Land.To introduce background of 2b.While-readingStep 4a.Guessing:Ask Ss to look at the picture in 2b to guess what the passage is about.then read by their heart to check their guessing of the passage.Step 5b. Fast Reading : 1) Get the Ss read fast ,then match each paragraph with the main ideas.2) Get the Ss read fast again.Then finish the time lineStep 6c. Careful Reading : Get students to read para1,2,3, quickly and answer questions:Para1(1) What does Mickey Mouse look like?How old is he?(2) What was his first cartoon?(3) Who created Mickey Mouse?How many cartoons did he make with Mickey?Para2Get students to read para2 and fill in the blanks to explain why he is so popular.Para3(1)Does everyone still love him?(2)What is he famous for ?a.Students can guess the topic easily and try to find out some information to support their guessing.b. 1)Read fast and finish the task to match each paragraph.2)Read fast and finish the time on line quickly.c.Make Ss familiar with each paragraph of the passage.Ss read the passage with some tasks carefully.They can solve these problems by working in groups.To know what the passage is talking about.To develop Ss the ability of reading.To master some reading strategies.Cultivate Ss Careful reading skills and cooperation abilities.Post-readingStep 7 . Discuss the two questions on the PPT and know we like the Spirit of each character in some cartoons.They are clever,brave and try to overcome any problems they meet. Step 8 .Students fill in the chart on PPT without books and try to finish the exercises. Step 9.Retelling the story according to the clues on PPT in the front of the blackboard. Step 10.Emotion Education :1)Study hard,then it will be possible for you to succeed .2)Different countries have different cultures.We should respect them.Summarize the main idea of the passage in order to understand the moral aims .Try to finish the exercise and then recite the passage they finished.Try to retell the story by using the key sentences.Teach Ss to respecteach other .To deepen Ss understanding of the text and extend their imagination.Train Ss reading and speaking abilities.Home
