Nobody wanted to sound stupid.2. When the emperor looked at himself, he only saw his underwear.3. The were trying to cheat the emperor.4. This story is about an emperor who loved clothes.2. 能力目标:培养学生的听说能力,能听懂英语故事,并能据图用英语讲故事3.情感目标:让学生深切体会到人性中“虚伪”这一弱点,引导学生努力战胜这一弱点,提升学生的价值观。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 掌握本课时出现的生词及用法。2) 进行听力训练,提高综合听说能力。 3)阅读短文,获得相关信息,提高学生们的综合阅读能力。2. 教学难点1)听力训练2) This story is about an emperor who loved clothes. T: Show one picture of the story The Emperors New Clothes. 2. Ask some questions about it. e.g.1). Look at the picture. Do you know this story? Whats the name of this story? S1: The Emperors New Clothes. 2).Show the story The Emperors New Clothes by ppt Once upon a time, an emperor loved new clothes very much. Two brothers came to the city and made a special clothes for the emperor. They asked for much gold and silk, but they kept them for themselves. They pretended to work for a long time every day. Then at last, the special clothes were OK, but nobody could see them. However, no one said it until one young boy shouted that the emperor wore nothing. 设计意图:引出本节的重点,培养学生阅读理解能力,为下一环节单词短语的教学做准备 Step 3 Studying words and phrases1. Teaching the new words by ppt:silk emperor underwear gold stupid cheat 2. Showing the key phrases on the screen and learn them together.( 1.Once up on a time 2.make.for 3.ask for 4.keep . for oneself 5.at last 6.wear -wore ) 3.Ss read and try to remember the new words and phrases. Step 4 Matching Work on 1a 1. Ask one student to read the words in 1a. Tell Ss to match the words with the letters in the pictures in 1b. 2. Let some Ss tell their answers. Then check together. 3. Try to remember the new words. 设计意图:使学生更好地理解词汇的含义,为听力做好词汇上的准备Step 5 Listening Work on 1b: 1. Tell Ss to look at the pictures in 1c. Tell them these are the pictures from the story: The Emperors New Clothes. Listen to the tapes and number the pictures. 2. Play the recording for the first time, Ss listen and answer the questions1). How many main characters are there in the story?Four.2). Who are they? The emperor, two brothers and a boy.3. Play the recording again and number the pictures. 1 (bottom right) 2 (bottom left) 3 (middle left) 4 (top left) 5 (top right)4. Check the answers设计意图:使学生通过听了解故事的情节发展 5.Work on 1c: 1). Let Ss read the sentences in 1c first. Tell Ss to listen again and fill in the blanks with the right words. 2). Play the recording again for the Ss to listen and write the words. 3). Ss listen to the recording carefully and try to write the right words. 4). Check the answers with the class. Keys: clothes, brothers, give, kept, looked, saw, shouted, wearing设计意图:使学生在听的过程中,捕捉到关键信息,提高他们听的能力Step6.DiscussionT:What do you think about this emperor?
