牛津高中英语教学设计教材:牛津高中英语(模块九)高三上学期文档内容:教学设计教案单元:Unit 2 Witnessing time板块:Task 2作 者:徐申叶Thoughts on the design:继续以伦敦塔为主题,通过学习音节重读和单词重读,进一步提高学生准确得体运用英语的能力;学会通过使用特定的句型和词汇以非正式的语气表述正式的话题。Teaching aims:After learning the second half of the task, students will be able to have a general idea on word stress and sentence stress. They are reminded of paying more attention to the correct pronunciation and do a better job in communication. In addition, students can be able to write informally about a formal topic by using certain sentence structures and special vocabulary while writing to their family or good friends.Teaching procedures:Step 1 Stressing syllables and words.1. A little quiz at the beginning of the class. Ask Ss to try to pronounce increase in two different sentences (ppt4).2. Ask them to choose the correct meaning for the same sentence Please sit down, with first down stressed, indicating speakers anger. (ppt5)Explanation以提问的形式激发学生对单词中音节的重读和句子中单词重读的语音现象的兴趣,同时引出下一个教学环节:进一步学习教材上有关音节重读和单词重读的介绍。3. Ask Ss to read the introduction on word stress and sentence stress, giving them a brief summary and some more examples to consolidate. (ppt6)4. Ask Ss to read 4 more sentences correctly, paying special attention to the stressed words. (ppt7)Explanation首先,要求学生明确重读的基本概念,在此基础上配以设当的练习予以巩固和提高,以此来达到讲练结合、优化课堂效率的目的。Step 2 Asking about the crown jewels1. Presenting 2 pictures of crown jewels, asking students to ask as many questions as possible on crown jewels, supposing they first see the jewels while visiting the tower. While answering, one student should raise at least one question that is different from that of others. (ppt8)Explanation围绕王室御宝这一话题鼓励学生自由提问,为下一步的情景对话进行热身训练。同时要求学生尽可能多的提问,而且不能重复,以此来训练学生的发散思维,同时也用来训练他们的听力。2. Ask Ss to read the instruction on step 2 asking about the crown jewels and then practise the dialogue with the partner, paying special attention to the word and sentence stress. (ppt9) 3. Invite some pairs to perform the dialogue. (ppt10)Explanation本环节要求学生能够根据提示,分别以游客和导游的身份对王室御宝进行问答,旨在养成学生发散思维的能力,并特别注意渗透对重要信息需要重读的概念,以此来强化训练本课的重读技能训练,同时也为下一步的写作做好语言准备。Step 3 Writing informally about a formal topic1. Ask Ss to discuss the following two questions:(1) What is your choice: an e-mail or a traditional letter? Why?(2) How do we write on the envelope and what is included on a letter sheet? (ppt11)Explanation以简单地探讨电子邮件和平信的优缺点来引出一般信件的书写格式,学生对英文信件的格式不甚了解,故先用讨论的形式作为铺垫。2. Show students examples of how to write on the envelope and what is included on a letter sheet. (ppt12, 13)Explanation温故而知新,既复习平信的书写格式,又为最后的写作奠定格式的基础,降低写作的难度。3. Ask Ss to read the instruction on how to write informally about a formal topic and then answer the question. (ppt14)4. Ask Ss to rewrite the sentence The fact is that the Tower of London has served different functions in history, such as the kings palace, prison, and even a safe. informally. (ppt15)Explanation首先要求学生熟悉能以非正式的写作风格表达正式的话题的一些特定的句型和词汇,同时配以典型的训练例句予以揣摩和巩固。5. Mini-discussion: Ask Ss to discuss which information on the tower of London is worth telling. (ppt16)6. Ask Ss to combine the information into a paragraph using the style of informal writing.
