Unit 5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came?(Section A 3a-3c) 教学设计宜良县第十一中学 李燕教材分析 本单元的语言目标是运用过去进行时来谈论过去发生的事情，在学习新时态的同时，也复习现在进行时态。整个Section A的语言学习内容就是用过去进行时来表达过去某个时间在做什么，并学习when和while描述某动作或某事件的发生。Section B进一步加深和巩固本单元的话题内容，讲述一系列发生在过去某一时间的事情。Self check主要帮助学生巩固本单元所学的过去进行时以及连词when和while所引导的时间状语从句。本课时为Section A的3a-3c,整体以阅读为核心，通过让学生阅读一篇关于亚拉巴马州遭暴风雨袭击后人们互相帮助的故事，进一步体会过去进行时的用法，并学习一些居住场景中常用的词汇，同时也注重对青少年情感的教育和培养，让他们知道在灾难面前要更加团结，更加友善，更懂得互相帮助。学情分析八年级的学生已经在中学已经学习了一年多的英语，本来他们的词汇量应该有一定积累，也应该掌握也一些阅读技巧。但我们面对的是一群农村的学生，由于种种原因，可能大部分同学都不喜欢学习英语，学习积极性比较差，也可能出现两级分化比较严重的现象，有的同学可能完全读不懂课文。所以在阅读前，我做了很大的铺垫，也提前把一些新单词和文中的句子呈现出来，让学生提前感知。阅读过程中，我把文章分解了来降低阅读的难度。同时阅读任务的设计由易到难，逐步帮他们理解短文完成任务。 I.
