Unit 5 Why do you like pandas? Section A（1a-1c）教学设计 三岔中学：向应齐 一、教材分析：本课时在整个单元中的功能和地位:本节课为第五单元第一课时。根据新课标要求，本课以animals in a zoo为话题，围绕describe animals和express preferences这两个功能展开的。本课时是一节听说课，中心话题是运用描述性语言对动物进行描述，说明自己对这些动物喜爱的原因，教学内容与贴近学生实际生活，容易激发学生交流的兴趣。同时，在循序渐进提高学习的过程中，通过讨论动物来熟练运用“why-because”句型提出疑问，解决问题。本课时教学内容的学习，会为本单元的进一步学习奠定词汇,句式基础，为最后语言的输出提供有力的支持。本课教材编写充分体现新课改的指导思想，其对话编排几乎都是从生活实际需要出发，生活气息浓厚，让学生能掌握生活中基本的常识交流，发展他们自主学习的能力，形成有效的学习策略，把任务型教学与三步五段式教学模式融为一体。本节课学习动物的单词，及表述喜欢的原因，教学中的各项活动都围绕动物展开。学生们运用英语简单描述自己喜欢的动物，了解大自然，了解动物生长的地域知识，进一步培养和激发他们热爱动物、保护动物、维护生态平衡的朴素情怀。 二、学生情况分析本节课的对象是七年级的学生，经过一个多学期的中学英语学习生活，学生们已经学过由why, where, what 引导的特殊疑问句，具有了学习本单元知识的认知前提。并且这阶段的学生相比较八九年级的学生在性格上更活泼、天真，对待新事物有很高的激情。许多有关动物的信息能激发他们的好奇心，产生了解它们的强烈欲望，有利于本课的教学和学生学习兴趣的培养。虽然学生英语水平层次不齐，但大部分学生英语学习主动性较强，尤其学生通过半年多的学习，已经掌握了“why-because”句型，在上学期的学习中更是接触到许多表达自己意愿和喜好的句型和词汇，了解了一定的动物英文名称和描述性形容词；学会了What Why Where等特殊疑问句的用法；由于年龄性格特点会对动物话题感兴趣，会有一定的合作和竞争意识，在老师的鼓励下能比较积极地参与课堂。 三、教学重难点分析 1、教学重点：学生能够灵活运用动物名称和描述动物特点的形容词；学生能够使用why，where 引导的特殊疑问句及简要回答。 2、教学难点：学生能够运用描述性形容词对动物进行描述或介绍；解决办法是设计了有梯度的教学环节，通过认知角度的变化及任务形式的不同来调动学生的学习愿望，掌握重点，解决难点，实现能力目标的要求。 四、教学目标1、知识与能力1）掌握下列单词：有关动物的名词: panda zoo tiger elephant koala lion giraffe animal 有关描述动物的形容词：cute lazy smart beautiful scary 2）掌握下列句型：-Lets see the pandas first.- Why do you want to see the pandas?-Because they are cute.-Why dont you want to see the tigers?- Because they are scary. 2、过程与方法：能够根据老师PPT提供的音频、图片及游戏等情景创设说出动物英文名称；能在根据教师PPT播放的录音听听力时快速获取关键词，填出或选择出所需信息；能在老师所创设的情景和小组调查等项目中进行询问、描述常见的动物的外貌、产地及其他特征。 3、情感态度与价值观：了解世界各地的典型动物。通过了解动物，提高保护动物，爱护大自然，人与动物和谐相处的意识。 五、教学方法：本课采用情景教学法、游戏教学法，进行以学生为主体，在教师引导下学生使用课件进行自主式、探究式学习与小组学习相结合的学习方式，运用多媒体（视频，音频，图片等）、动物毛绒玩具等实物手段来辅助教6、 教学步骤Step 1 Leading in( Leading in by asking questions about the zoo.)T:Do you often visit the zoos on holiday or weekends ?Ss: Yes, we do.T:OK.
