登陆21世纪教育 助您教考全无忧Unit 4 Whats the best movie theater? 教案【教材内容分析】本单元的核心语言项目是 “Discuss preferences and make comparisons”。围绕“Whats the best.? . is the best.” 等话题谈论“preference”并进行比较,以小镇为话题, 从Section A 的“Movie theater, clothing store, radio station”到Section B的才艺表演,谈论最喜欢的东西,阅读篇章,做出选择,循序渐进,逐步扩展, 主要语法是形容词最高级的用法。【学情分析】1学生程度不一,学生人数多,语言实践机会少,容易两极分化,通过各种合作学习的活动,可以带动学习英语有困难的学生。2中学生活泼,好动,好胜心强,可塑性大,在教学过程中,注意设置情境,倡导其积极参与,引进小组竞争机制,更好地激发学生的学习兴趣,提高课堂效率。3. 通过对Unit 3的学习,学生初步掌握了形容词比较级的知识,对形容词最高级的学习来说已经有了基础。【教学目标】语言目标:1.能够用形容词的比较级和最高级来谈论自己、朋友及其他人或事物及喜好,如: Whats the best cinema? 2.学习形容词比较级和最高级的规则变化和不规则变化能力目标:听:能听懂谈论个人喜好的对话材料说:能够谈论个人喜好读:能读懂作比较的文章和句子写:能写出SECTION A和SECTION B 中的重点单词和重点句型,并能够对周围的人物和环境作比较情感目标:1.通过对家乡的各种娱乐设施作比较,引导学生热爱自己的家乡。2.了解各种娱乐设施的服务质量。【教学重点及难点】教学重点:1进行比较,学会如何表达最喜欢什么东西2正确运用Whats the best.?和 Why do you think so? 句型,并作出相应的回答。3掌握重点词汇的意义和用法:Theater, cinema, seat, screen, jeans, performer, radio, station, trendy, quality, comfortable, close to. 4能在情境中正确运用以下日常交际用语:Whats the best.? Why do you think so? Showtime cinema. Its the cheapest. Jasons has good quality clothes. Its better than Trendy Teens. Jasons is the best store in town. Dannys is the closest. Lets go there. 教学难点:1. 形容词的比较等级在句中的运用;2学会比较事物的相同和不同之处3能了解as for 的意义并能正确运用。4能根据调查,写出以“比较”为话题的调查报告。 学困生教学重难点突破措施 选择学生熟悉与喜欢的事物进行“比较”内容的教学,提高学困生的学习兴趣。精简重点词汇与句型,分层次记忆与操练。加强学困生课后的个别辅导,使他们在理解的基础上,能进行重点句型的朗读与仿写。【教学方法】任务型教学法:倡导体验参与,培养自主学习能力。课前布置任务,要求复习八上Unit 6 形容词比较级的知识。竞赛教学法:根据初中生争强好胜的性格特征,在课堂内引进小组竞争机制,提高团体活动效率,加强团体凝聚力,激发学生的求知欲和参与意识。多媒体辅助教学:形象,生动,使课堂容量相对增加,给学生提供更多的语言实践机会,有利于综合语方运用能力的提高。【教具】电脑多媒体等。【课时分配及教学内容】Period 1 (Section A: 1a-2d )Period 2 (Section A: Grammar focus & 3a-3c)Period 3 (Section B: 1a-2e)Period 4 (Section B: 3a3c & Self check)Period 5 Revision【教学过程设计】Period 1 (Section A: 1a-2d)Step 1 Greetings and warming Step 2 Revision1. Task1 Show Ss some pictures. Ask them to make compare.Whos taller, Mary or Kate?Kate is shorter than Mary.Mary is taller than Tom.Whos funnier, Jim or Tom?Jim is funny.Tom is funnier than Jim.2.Task2 Show Ss some pictures. Ss can use the superlative to make compare among them. Whose hair is long/longer/the longest?Miss. Shen is heavy. Mr. Wang is heavier.Mr. Li is the heaviest of the three .Step 3 Leading in: talk about some famous actors(actresses)What does he/she do?He/She is an actor/an actress.Step 4 Work on Section A 1aLook at the picture. Discussion: What are (not) very important for you to choose a movie theater?Read the instruction and choose. Find out which items students think are the most important. Step 5 Listening (1b) Ask Ss to read the title first, then play the record twice. Ask the Ss to write down the answers.Then check the answers.Read the conversations in 1b. Step 6 Pair work (1c)谈论你最喜欢的影院 A: Do you want to go to the movies? B: Sure. A: Whats the best movie theater? B: Town Cinema. Its the cheapest. A: But I think Screen City has the most comfortable seats.Which cinema has friendlier service, town cinema or screen city?Step 7 Listening (2a, 2b)1. Read the instructions and learn the new words. Guess the meaning: radio station, clothing store, Jeans Corner, Trendy Teens, Jasons, Funky Fashions. 2. point to the two questions on the survey. 3. Ask some students to read the names of the stores and the radio stations. 4. Play the recording the first time. Students only listen.5. Play again. Ask students to circle the letters of the correct answers.6. Check the answers. Step 8 Listening (2b) 1 . Read the instructions and point to the chart. And read the names of the stores and comments after each one or ask different students to do it. 2. Play again. Ask students to circle the correct words the boy says. 3. Check the answers. 4. Read again and tell your friends what the boy think of the stores. S1: The boy thinks Jasons is the best. S2: Jeans Corner and Trendy Teens are good stores. S3StepX Role play Look at the sentences theyve found. Then make the conversation.
