Teaching key point: how to ask ones appearance, and describe ones appearance Teaching difficulties: -What does he/she look like? -He is and .and he /she has .hair.The Analysis of Teaching ProcessStep 1 - - - Greeting 1.Exchange greetings with the Ss. 2Show the teaching aim on the screen Step 2 - - - Leading-in (1min) Show a picture of a mother and a child T: What are they doing? Do you think who can get the basketball easily, the mother or the child? And why? Lead in the answer “The mother is tall , the child is short.”T; What does the mother look like? She is tall.Step 3 Presentation (15mins)1. Show a picture of three persons (different heights) teacher teaches the new words ,medium, height Show 3 persons pictures on the screen about Sun Yang, Deng Chao and Wang Zulan.Practice showing the picture, ask: -What does Sun Yang look like? -He is tall. -What does Wang Zulan look like? -He is short.-What does Deng Chao look like? -He is not tall or short, he is of medium height. then ask the question about the students height,教学设计说明由旧入新,教授新单词。并在黑板上呈现,便于学生熟悉记忆,练习所学单词,以及把单词融入句子中去练习。2. Show a picture of three persons Cindy Sally and Alice ( teach the words about build, heavy, thin ) and make students repeat the words one by one, And then show a picture of Liu Huan, Ge You, and Jack Chen to practice the words in the sentences 3. Show a picture of Zen Zhiwei, make students know how to describe one persons appearance about build and height T; Is he tall or short? -He is short.T: Is he heavy or thin? -He is heavy.So what does he look like? We can say he is short and heavy. and then show another two pictures make students practice how to describe the build and height in one sentence. And then ask students about some students appearance to practice. 教学设计说明,把新教的单词融入真实句子中,并加以练习巩固,让学生在实际情景中会使用所学单词表达外貌。4. Show some pictures about hairstyles and give some phrases (short hair long hair curly hair straight hair),and then show another picture about Lu Han,show the hairstyle phrases one by one, short hair, curly hair ,brown hair and then put them into one sentence and after this, sum up the rules of the .He has short curly brown hair. Then show four different kinds of hairstyles one by one. Teacher leads students to describe the hairstyle with three adjectives and then make them in the sentences T: What does she look like? S: She has short straight black hair.S: She has long curly brown hair.Teacher asks: What does she look like? T: What does she look like? She is tall and thin .She has black hair. She has long hair. She has straight hair.She has long straight black hair. Show 2 picture about Zen Zhiwei and Fan Binbin. T: What does he look like? S: He is short and heavy. He has short straight black hair.S: He is of medium height and of medium build. She has long curly brown hair.Teacher asks students about some students hairstyle and make students answer to practice the target sentences 教学设计说明,由旧入新,单词 ,短语,句子,利用学生所熟悉的明星图片,激发兴趣,利用图表组合的形式,最后把人的外貌的描述组合起来,把新教的单词融入真实句子中,并加以练习巩固,由浅入深,由简入繁,循序渐进,让学生在轻松的环境中学习掌握目标语句。Step 4 Consolidation 1. Finish 1a ( 2mins)Teacher ask students some questions to help students understand the pictureT: How many students are there? Where are they? Make students finish 1a in one minute. Teacher check the answer together with students T:Who has long hair? Who has curly hair? Who has straight hair?.And then make students pay attention to the usage of the verbs (is ,has)2 .PK Time (2mins)Show some sentences and give some choices to students, make them choose the right one, if they know the answer, they can just stand up and say the answer and then make them read them together教学设计说明,此活动能激发学生学习兴趣,提高学习积极性。同时也能检测学生的学习情况。3.1b Listening (4 mins)Show a girl and express the situation of the picture. Make students listen to the tape three times .the first time , make students find Amys friend ,and the second time ,fill in the blank in 1b, the third time make students follow the tape and repeat it .教学设计说明:训练学生学习模仿,注意语音语调。4. Pair work (8 mins) Show some pictures and make students make conversations with their partner. teacher give one example first. And then, make students show their conversation-Who is she/he? -She/He is -What does she/he look like? - Shes/Hes and, she/he has hair.5 Group work (6mins)Make students do a report, 4students a group, and make other students guess who she/he is.e.g. I have a friend in my group, she/he is and ,she/he has hair. Do you know who she/he is?Moral education Make students know that dont judge people by their appearance.教学设计说明 把所学运用到生活环境中,学生更感兴趣,情感升华部分更能教育学生不能以貌取人。Step 5 Summary (2min)Make student sum up what we learn today After the students go through the tasks, it is the right time for me to help them sum up what we learn today.Step 6 Homework 1.
