They also have the abilities of self-teaching and working in groups. Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English.2. Analysis of Teaching ContentLesson 12 is the sixth lesson in Unit 2, Book 5.This unit focus on the subject great people. Students cares about the subject because it is close to everyone. Lesson 12 mainly talks about Bouke-Whites lifetime, as well as talk about the secret of success. 教学目标【知识目标】By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to read, understand and use the new words and phrases e.g. crossword puzzle, whom, anybody, chemistry, based on. 【能力目标】To be able to talk about heroes and the reason why they can be heroes.【情感目标】To tell them anyone can be a hero, heroes are not that far away from our real life. Maybe they are the normal people around us.【教学重点】To use the new words and phrases to talk about heroes and the reason why they can be heroes.【教学难点】To use the new words and phrases to talk about heroes and the reason why they can be heroes. 课前准备 Tape recorder, Multimedia 教学过程Step 1. Warm-upFree talk: Who are your hero?Step 2. Presentation1. Show the new words. Teacher explain these new words and practice them.2. Listen and answer the questions:(1) What does Li Ming think of Ms. Liu?(2) Why does Li Ming think Danny will be a basketball player?(3) What will Danny be someday ?(4) Who gives advice to Danny about the future?3. Check the answers.4. Read the lesson and answer the questions meanwhile choose the students check the answers.(1) What did Ms. Liu ask the class to do?(2) What did Danny think of Li Mings puzzle?(3) What did Danny say to help Jenny and Brian solve the puzzle?(4) How long did it take Jenny and Brian to solve the puzzle?5. Explain the language points.This week is class, we talked about success. 这周在课上,我们谈论到了成功。in class在课上,在上课中We often discuss some interesting problems in class.在课堂上我们经常讨论一些有趣的难题。in the class在班里We usually play crossword puzzles in the class. 我们通常在班里做一些纵横字谜游戏。Earlier this year, I had told Mrs. Liu that I would like to help her teach our English class. 今年初,我告诉过刘老师我想帮助她教我们的英语课。would like意为“想要”“愿意”,用于礼貌的提出要求或表示愿意提供帮助,后面接名词、代词、to+动词原形,不能加动名词。We would like a cup of tea. 我们想喝茶。I would like to go. 我愿意去。like意为“喜欢”“喜爱”,后面接名词、代词、+动词原形或动名词。We like playing basketball. 我们喜欢打篮球。Do you like to fly a kite? 你喜欢放风筝吗?want v.要,想要;想得到want to do sth. 想(要)去干某事I want to go to Shijiazhuang for my holiday. 我要去石家庄度假。want sb. to do sth. 要某人做某事I want sb. to help me. 我需要有人帮助我。since 因为,既然。 侧重主语,从句表示显然的或已知的理由。Since everyone is here, lets start.as 由于,鉴于。 主从并重。 从句说明原因,主句说明结果。As it was late, we couldnt go to the park.for 因为,由于。表明附加或推断的理由,引导分句前常有逗号,for 分句不能放句首。He must be ill, for he didnt come to school today.hope & wishhope表 “希望”,后接不定式或从句,都用于实现的可能性很大的希望。hope to do sh. 或 hope that +从句 I hope to go shopping with Jenny this weekend. I hope that I will go shopping with Jenny tonight. wish表 “希望,但愿” 接不定式或接宾语再接不定式, 即wish to do sth. 或 wish sb. to do sth. 都表示大体上可以实现的. I wish you to finish your work tonight.wish 也可接从句时,此时表示很难实现或无法实现的愿望,此时从句要用虚拟语气。 Step 3. Practice1. Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the given words.2.
