Unit 6 I am going to study computer science. 课程设计Period 3【教材内容分析】 本单元的主题是Life goals。通过单元学习,要求学生学会一些有关职业的表达方式,用 be going to , want to be 等结构来谈论自己与他人理想的职业,谈论为实现理想所做的打算和安排。语法结构掌握when 引导的时间状语从句及what, when, where, how引导的特殊疑问句。在听说的基础上学会综合运用目标词汇、短语及功能句式表达自己理想的职业,学习为实现理想而做出打算和安排,制定未来一段时间的计划。【学情分析】1学生程度不一,学生人数多,语言实践机会少,容易两极分化,通过各种合作学习的活动,可以带动学习英语有困难的学生。2中学生活泼,好动,好胜心强,可塑性大,在教学过程中,注意设置情境,倡导其积极参与,引进小组竞争机制,更好地激发学生的学习兴趣,提高课堂效率。【教学目标】知识目标:1. 重点词汇grow up, computer programmer, cook, doctor, engineer, violinist, driver, pilot, pianist, scientist, be sure about, make sure 2. 能掌握以下句型: What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a basketball player. How are you going to do that? Im going to practice basketball every day. Where are you going to work? When are you going to start? Im not sure about that. 3. 语法:Be going to表将来Want to be What, where, when, how引导的特殊疑问句能力目标:用英语的正确时态谈论将来的计划,提高学生们听,说,读,写能力。情感目标:每个人都有自己的梦想和对未来的打算,对于将来想要从事的职业也充满了憧憬。 人们以常谈论他们的设想,因此,应通过学习这单元的内容来激发学生们的学习主动性和学习兴趣,使他们更加有理想,并为实现自己的理想而不断努力。【教学重点及难点】1. 教学重点:1) 学习一般将来时态的构成方式。2) 学习本课时出现的重点句型,通过在不同情景下运用来熟练运用一般将来时态。教学难点:运用what, where, when, how引导的特殊疑问句来询问将来来的打算以及描述将来的打算。【教学方法】任务型教学法:倡导体验参与,培养自主学习能力。课前布置任务,要求复习七下unit 4 关于职业的词汇,预先读本课新词,让学生带着任务有目的地上课,并在课堂学习中不断获得完成任务所必须的知识能力。游戏教学法:新目标倡导的“玩中学,学中玩”的理念很受学生欢迎,设计猜谜游戏复习七年级下册unit 4 中学到的关于职业的词,既达到以旧带新的目的,又有效地激发了学生的学习兴趣,活跃了课堂气氛。竞赛教学法:根据初中生争强好胜的性格特征,在课堂内引进小组竞争机制,提高团体活动效率,加强团体凝聚力,激发学生的求知欲和参与意识。多媒体辅助教学:形象,生动,使课堂容量相对增加,给学生提供更多的语言实践机会,有利于综合语方运用能力的提高。【教具】电脑多媒体,黑板等。【教学过程设计】Period 3 (Section B: 1a-2d) Step 1 Lead-in (Section B: 1a)T: Good morning everyone. New Year is coming. Are you happy for it?Ss: .T: But have you ever thought about your plans for the next year? What are you going to do in the coming year?S: Im going to learn music next year. S: Im going to do more exercise next year. I want to be healthier. S: I am going to help mom with housework next year. T: Great, you all have good plans for the next year. In English, thats called New Years resolutions. You are all making resolutions for New Year. Write “New Years resolutions” on the board. Call attention to the pictures in activity 1a on page 62.T: Look at the pictures. Some people are making their New Years resolutions. Read the items in the list and match them with the pictures. Check the answers. Step 2 Pair work (Section B: 1b) 1. Tell your partners your New Years Resolutions. 2. S1: Im going to get lots of exercise. Im going to make a basketball team. S2: Im going to learn another foreign language. Im going to learn French. S3: 3. Let Ss say as many resolutions as they can. Step 3 Listening (Section B: 1c 1d)Work on 1c: 1. Tell Ss to read the resolutions in 1a. Tell Ss to listen and circle the resolutions they hear. 3. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle. 4. Check the answers: Work on 1d: 1. T: Now please look at the chart in 1d. Tell Ss Lucy, Kim and Mike are talking about their New Years Resolutions. How are they going to do it? Play the recording again and check the answers with the class. Step 4 (Section B: 2a) 1. Work in groups. Make a list of resolutions and how you are going to make them work. Then discuss with your group. 2. Ask some pairs to act out the conversations. 3. Ask Ss the two questions: Did you make any resolutions last year? Were you able to keep them? Why or why not? Step 4 (Section B: 2b)1. T: This passage is about resolutions. Now read the passage quickly and match each paragraph with its main purpose. 2. Let Ss read the sentences in the box first. Let some Ss say the meanings. 3. Ss read the passage quickly and match each paragraph with its main purpose.4. Let Ss underline the words and phrases that helped them decide. Step 4 (Section B: 2c)1. T: Now lets work on 2c. First, lets read the sentences and make sure we know the meanings of all the sentences.
