Unit 2 School in CanadaLesson 8 Li Ming Meets Jennys Class 教材分析本单元围绕李明在加拿大的学校生活展开,要求学生掌握一些有关于校园生活学习的词汇和句型。本课时在以李明去新学校上课的情境下,使学生了解要求学生能掌握词汇class, Chinese, science, music, art,能准确用英语介绍自己的朋友,并能与新朋友进行适时的交流。 教学目标【知识与能力目标】复习句型:Nice to meet you! This is等,并能根据具体的情况,进行问答。熟练掌握新句型:What subjects do you have in your school?We have English, math, science, artHow many classes do you have each school day?There are three classes in the morning and two in the afternoon.能运用学过的重点句型,同学之间进行交流,谈论有关来自哪里、学科等方面的话题。【过程与方法目标】通过活动培养学生能够正确运用所学习的词汇和句子。【情感态度价值观目标】促使学生积极运用所学知识进行表达与交流。 教学重难点【教学重点】新句型:What subjects do you have in your school?We have English, math, science, artHow many classes do you have each school day?There are three classes in the morning and two in the afternoon.【教学难点】能运用学过的重点句型,同学之间进行交流,谈论有关来自哪里、学科等方面的话题。 课前准备课件。 教学过程Step 1. ReviewThe greeting between students and teacher:T: Good morning class.S: Good morning teacher.T: OK. Lets answer the question together.Broadcast PPT2,review the knowledge points of adverbs of frequency. Ask some students to write down answers in the platform and correct their answers with appropriate reasons.(Design thinking: review the expression of time and lead in new knowledge in this lesson, to make a proficiency cohesion between old and new knowledge.)Step 2. Topic introducingBroadcast PPT3T: What do you see from the picture?S: Tables/Class.Tell students that Li Ming will come to study in Jennys class and he is going to meet each other and make other communications. Lets see what they are discussing about. Step 3. Presentation1. PPT4-PPT13 learn the first part of the book.Broadcast PPT4,teacher lead to read the text for several times until students can read it fluently.Teacher asks students:Whats the name of Jennys teacher?Where is Li Ming from?What subjects does Kim have in school?How many classes does Kim have each school day?Teacher answers the question with students together, which will be of great benefits for students to understand dialogues further.Broadcast PPT5-13 and explain the knowledge points in turn.This part is mainly aiming at the sentence when two people meet each other for the first time. Its “This is .” rather than “He is .”Where are you from? 你来自哪里?The question is used to ask the people where does he or she come from. “where” means “哪里”,which is used to ask the position of people. Because that the subject is the second person “you”, so the verb “be ”should be “are”. the answer should be “Im /Were from + 地点.”。例句:Where are you from? 你来自哪里?Im from America.我来自美国。What subjects do you have in your school? 在你们学校你们有什么科目?The sentence structure is “What subjects do you have + 其他?”Is used to ask the people what course do he have.The answer is:I/We have + 学科名称(English, art, PE.).example:What subjects do you have in your school?在你们学校你们有什么科目?We have Chinese, English, math and PE.我们有语文、英语、数学和体育。How many classes do you have each school day?每一个上学日你们有多少节课?Is used to ask how many courses does he have.The sentence structure is:How many classes do you have + 其他?“How many”means“多少”,后面接可数名词的复数形式。do是助动词,无实际意义。The answer is:I/We have + 基数词+ class(es). /基数词.example:How many classes do you have in the afternoon?下午你们有多少节课?We have three classes.我们有三节课。Step 4. Lets do it!(PPT14-15)First question:Work in four. Play the deliver-sound game.S1: Im from Where are you from?S2: He is from I am from Where are you from?S3: He is from She is from I am from Where are you from?S4: Second question:Show the table. Students work in pairs and fill in the course someday.Step 5. Quiz(PPT16-17)Broadcast the PPT and ask students to answer the questions. Explain the knowledge points of every answer.(Design thinking: to solidify knowledge points of this lesson.)Step 6.
