Improve their self-examination.Teaching steps:Step1 Enjoy the song “Trouble is a Friend”.Step2 PresentationT: Whats the song about? Students: T: In our daily life, we may have some problems. Do you have any study problems? Students: T: Lets listen to some students voice and say: Whats his/her problem? To present whats wrong? Step3 Look and Say(1a)Have students look at these problems. T:Do you think they are serious or not serious? Let students talk about their opinions.Step4 Think and SayT: How do you solve them when you met these serious problems?Could you please give your advice?To present: Why dont you?Why not?Maybe you shouldYou should/ couldShow some students study problems, get them to give advice by using the key sentence patterns above.Step5 Before-listening Teacher introduces the girl Linda and ask students to predict: Whats wrong with the girl? Can you guess? Students: Maybe she T: Your predictions are great. Then get Students to do 1b. Step6 While-listening(1b)1.Let students listen and check it out. 2.The teacher goes on asking the advice.T: If she has to study too much and doesnt get enough sleep, what should she do? T: If she has too many after-school classes, what should she do?3.First let students listen and imitate(模仿), next record(录音) their dialogues with their partners, finally hand in(上交) their dialogues in spoken-English training on their i-pads.(When students imitate and record, the teacher asks them to read aloud ,read fluently and read rhythmically, have them pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation.)4.Show some students imitations in spoken-English training.Step6 Group work First divide the whole class into four large groups, each group has a problem with their schoolwork. Next have students work in a small group of four. Discuss and make their own dialogues in their e-homework. Finally show their dialogues.Step7 Expanding T: You have so many problems with your schoolwork. Do you have any other problems? The teacher asks several students to talk about their other problems.Step6 Group work First divide the whole class into thirteen small groups, two groups have a problem with friends, family, clothes or pocket money. Next have students work in a small group of four. Discuss and make their own dialogues in their e-homework. Finally show their dialogues.Step7 Summary Summarize students different kinds of problems, have them listen to the teachers advice. Let them record their advice after class.Step8 HomeworkLevel A: You could ask your family what their problems are. Level B: Why dont you give your family some advice about their problems.
