教学内容Unit 12.You re supposed to shake hands.课时Period 3教学对象九年级学生设计者但堂芳一、教材内容分析 本节课是本单元的第课时,本节课是在学习了第一课时的the way to greet people 和第二课时的不同的国家对守时,拜访朋友等有不同的态度等知识,初步了解了不同国家有不同的风俗习惯。本节课紧接前两课时,就table manners的话题展开讨论,section B 1a 中,有个国家的就餐礼仪,a中讲的是法国的就餐礼仪,两部分知识有很强的连贯性,本课的重点是通过阅读,掌握a中的短语,并能梳理课文是按照be supposed to do sth 和be not supposed to do sth.两部分介绍的。二、教学目标(知识与能力,情感态度与价值观)1. knowledge goals: 1)can understand the passage of 3a.2)can use the important phrases correctly.3)can describe Chinese table manners according to the information on the screen. 2. Ability goals :1)Enable students to know different countries have different table manners. 2) Train students to talk about the table manners 3. Moral goals:1)make students know the customs of countries should be respected.2)cultivate their confidence in learning English an their encourage them to express themselves in English, learn about foreign culture。 三, 重点、难点1 can use the following phrases well: get sb. Out of ones way to do sth. used to do sthget/be used to do sth. be used to do sth. cut up etc.2 can describe Chinese table manners well四、教法选择与学法指导通过讨论,提问,阅读等方法,促进学生的合作交流能力,带着问题读课文,选读重点信息等方法能提高学生的阅读能力。五、资源准备多媒体课件、教室及相关教学资源。六、教学过程教学任务教师活动学生活动设计意图及资源准备Task 1Warming- up and revision3 min1show the exercise on the screen,and ask ss to fill in the blanks according to the information of the Chinese sentences.2 check the answers, asks students to read the missing words at first.1Translate the sentences and fill in the blanks.2Read the missing words,explain the reasons why you choose the words.3Read the sentences together.复习巩固上节课的知识点,通过解释做题的原因,使学生更明晰的掌握重点短语,同时有热身的作用,为马上开始的英语课做准备Task 2Judge7 min1Ask students if they know what the meaning of the table manner is.2 、Get students to explain ,then make compulsory 3show the five table manners in five different countries one by one 1look at the screen, guess where it is in the picture2 read the sentences, write T for true and F for false. 通过展示不同国家的标志性建筑,引出个国家,紧接着让学生判断这些国家的就餐礼仪是否正确,不熟悉这些国家的学生可讨论,能活跃课堂气氛,可利用这个机会让学生了解不同国家有不同就餐习惯。Task 3 Reading 5 min1show the five questions ,get five students to translate them2ask students to read the passage try to answer the questions 3, get five ss to answer the questions.4check the answers and show them on the screen1read the questions, translate them 2read the passage, find answers in the passage3answer questions, read them in the different ways让学生在接触课文之前先读问题,让他们带着问题在文中找答案,正确率高,节省时间,有利于提高学生的阅读能力。Task 4Filling 7 min1ask ss to read the passage again, and find out what the writer is supposed to do and isnt supposed to do while eating.2show the chart on the screen 。3check the answers and show theanswers。1look at the chart on the screen understand what you are supposed to find in the passage。2read the passage again. pay attention to what the writer is supposed to do or isnt supposed to do .3Fill in the chart.通过be supposed to do, be not supposed to do 两个短语,对文中的就餐礼仪进行分类,梳理了课文的思路,简化了烦琐内容,让学生在短时间内理解课文的重点和细节Task 5Phrases learning 8 min1, show the phrases in the passage on the screen.2ask ss to find them in the textbook.3listen to ss translations, get the mistakes right4,show the exercise on the screen check the answers 1Read the phrases.2Find the phrases in the passage underline them in it .3Translate the sentences with the phrases.4 Do the exercise.让学生在文中找短语,翻译有短语的句子,为短语学习提供了一个语言环境,有利于掌握他们的用法,习题对短语有针对性的训练,巩固了该知识。出示的形似意异的短语能复习前面的短语,避免混淆。Task 6Writing 12 min 1show Chinese table manners on the screen. get ss to describe the table manners in different way.2. ask ss to write them out with the target language .Can have one or two ss write on bb.3. Check the answers .show the example article on the screen.1Look at the screen and describe different customs with the right phrases.2. Write the article.结合本节课的话题,将Chinese table manners 用目标语言进行描述,提高学生的写作技能,将中国的传统风俗用英语表达,能让学生体验学以致用带来的快乐。Task 7 Conclusion 3 min1. Ask ss to sum up what they learnt in this class.2.show the homework.1.
