Ability aims: .Ss can make and talk about predictions. .Ss can summarize key parts of a story. .Ss can understand the whole article and rewrite the play. 3.Emotional aims: Whatever you do Wherever you go ,be brave and never give up! 二Teaching key and difficult points: .To learn about the western fairy play, read and understand the whole play,then try to perform. .To develop their reading skills such as skimming, scanning, summarizing language points. 三、Teaching methods: task-based teaching, situational teaching四Teaching aids: blackboard, courseware五 Teaching procedures: Step 1 Lead in . 1. T: Ill make a performance for you, then guess who I am? 2. Introduce the the fairy tales “Hansel and Gretel.” then tell them: Today we will continue learning another fairy tale -Hansel and Gretel. 1. Step 2 Pre- reading Watch the video and answer the following questions Q1:How many members are there in the family? Q2:Why did the stepmother want to leave(让) the children die in the forest? Q3:What did Hansel plan to do? Step 3 While- reading 1. Fast reading Skim the story and answer the question: How many scenes are there in the play? 2. Careful reading .Read the part one from scenes1-3. Then ask students to work in groups to fill in blanks. .Read part two from scenes4-6 Then ask students to work in groups to answer the questions. Q1:What does Hansel go out to do ? Q2:As soon as Hansel and Gretel wake up, whom must they go to the forest with? Q3:Why do Hansel and Gretel get lost the second time?
