油河中学八年级英语教学设计 白红引Unit 5 Do you want to watch game show ? The fifth period(section B 2a2e) .Teaching objects:Knowledge objects :to learn now words and key expression by guessing and teachers guidance; to grasp the general idea of the whole passage and be able to retell the main idea of the passage.Ability objects :to improve students ability of getting information by scanning and skimming; to develop students ability to describe a cartoon; and cultivate students ability to discover, analyze and solve problem.Emotional object: arousing students learning interests about the culture of USA and ChinaII. Teaching key and difficult pointsTeaching key points include the vocabulary and some phrases. such as :one very famous symbol, over 80 years ago ,come out, one of the main reasons, be ready to do sth; To improve students reading skills and encourage them to talk about their feelings about TV programs. While the teaching difficult points are to retell the passage with the help of some key words; to write a passage about Chinese cartoons. Teaching methodsAs we know, its the best way for junior students to learn English mainly by tasks. So with the help of the multi-media and blackboard. Ill use the task-based teaching approach together with the communicative teaching method, the situational teaching method.IV. Teaching procedures: In order to achieve my teaching aims successfully, I divide my teaching procedures into 6 steps: lead-in ,pre-reading, while-reading, post-reading, brain storming summary and homework.Step1:Lead-in In this step I will show a cartoon about Mickey Mouse and ask students which character do they like? Let them discuss in pairs freely and the ask some students to answer the questions . The purpose of showing TV shows is to arouse students interesting about Mickey.Step2:pre-readingIn this step, I first ask students to see the pictures on the book and then let them discuss in groups in order to try to grasp the general idea of the passage. The purpose of this design is to train students grasping the general idea of passage according the picture.Step3:while-readingI mainly use task-based method to help the students improve their reading skills in this step.Task1:Fast Reading for the questionsRead the whole article and match the time with the event. That is to say, you must let you eyes “scan” the text quickly to find details that you are looking for ,you can find information quickly without reading the whole text. This activity provides practice in “scanning”. Encourage them finish these questions as quickly as they can. Task2. Careful ReadingRead the Paragraph 1 silently and quickly,find out the phrases and answer the questions.The goal of this task is to let students get further understanding of the article and check their reading results and the deployment of the reading strategies.Task3: Careful Reading Read the Paragraph 2 silently and quickly,find out the phrases and answer the questions.This task pushes students to review the important phrases, and understand the text better.Task4: Detailed Reading Are the statements below true or false? Read the Paragraph 3 and write down T or F.This task aims to let students read the text carefully and answer the questionsStep4: post-readingIn this step I design 2 activities to help students strengthen what they have read and learnt before.Activity1:Show timeAsk three students to show Mickey mouse experience with pictures.The purpose is that let students show and learn by themselves. Students can practice their spoken language. As well, focus on self-learning.Activity2:Retell the article according to the photos on the book and some key words .This activity focus on their speaking ability and organization of material.Step5:Summary Students summarize what we have learnt and key points. Make an assessment on each group. Emphasize the important of group work and self-learning.Step6:HomeworkBrain storming: Which cartoon is the symbol of Chinese cartoons? Why?Watch TV :Mickey knows best(万能的米老鼠) V. Blackboard design: Finally, I will talk about my blackboard design. Write key phrases on the blackboard,
