Listening: 1) To know some speaking and listening skills after they have understood what they have heard and note down the main information. 2) To master some English learning strategies, and talk about their difficulties in learning English by doing listening exercise.2. Reading:1) By reading the text, students can understand it and sum up the main idea of it.2) By doing tasks, students can express their ideas using the new words and expressions.3) By doing reading tasks, students can master some reading skills.3. Language in use:1) Students can explain the new words and expressions in English by consulting dictionaries.2) Students can read them correctly by following the tape.3) Students can express their ideas using the new words and expressions.4) Students can use comparatives and superlatives correctly after detailed explanation and doing exercises.4. Project:1) To describe the body parts.2) To talk about the functions of the body parts.3) To use the body language.4) To improve their speaking ability and their confidence in speaking English.5. Extension and culture tips:1) Students can understand the text and grasp the main idea of it by reading and doing some exercises. 2) Students will know how to be a good English learner by introduced some English learning strategies.6. Get a list of new words and expressions and be able to distinguish some confused words and use them freely in writing and daily conversation2. Master the key points with some grammatical points;3. Tell students what they are going to listen , make them get ready;2. Ask students to read the questions first before listening;3. Play the recording and encourage them to take notes while listening; ( Listen for the 1st time and try to pick out the same information from the listening material as the suggestions listed on the Bb.)4. Guide them to listen to the recording three times; (Listen for the 2nd time to note down the advice. )5. Have the students work in groups to make sentences by using these words;3. Make comments on the students work.Step five: Grammar point1. Ask Ss to find out the rules in the sentences. Then explain the usages of comparisons to students. While explaining, try to give them many examples;2. Explain that some sentences have comparisons, but they do not always use the usual comparison structures, such as more. than. or adj.+er than.; 有些形容词的比较级和最高级形式既可以通过加-er 和-est 构成,也可以加more 和most 构成, 如cleverer 和more clever。但是注意不要使用双重比较级或最高级。3. Have the Ss do exercises on page 24-25;4. Do class feedback.Step six: Vocabulary building1. Help students learn that some adjectives are normal or base adjectives (good, bad, dirty, pretty, etc.). Other adjectives are strong adjectives (fantastic, awful, filthy, etc.). We usually use “absolutely” with a strong adjective, e.g. “absolutely fantastic”. We usually use “very” with a base adjective, e.g. “very good”. “Very fantastic” or “absolutely good” are incorrect. However we can use “really” with a base or strong adjective;3. Have students do the exercise on page 25.Step seven: SummarySummarize what students have learned in this lesson, and point out what they should master.HomeworkMake 5 sentences by using comparisons and another 5 by using base and strong adjectives.教学反思: 形容词比较级和最高级及比较从句虽然简单,但内容也不少,要求学生掌握俩者的区别并灵活使用,这需要通过一些练习来巩固。4. Get one student to come to the front of the class and describe the characteristics and functions of a body part. 2. Get the others to guess what it is.Step four: Write a paragraph1. Have students write a paragraph to describe a body part. Use as many asj.s as possible;2. Get them to prepare a presentation for the class. Step five: Report your result1. Each group presents their report to the class;2.
