Greetings and warm-up activitiesFirst, the teacher can talk about something interesting about weekend. Then they can sing a song to relax before the English class.Step2. Read the text1. Let students read the text and match the pictures.2. Let students say something about Lily according to the text.Student A: Lily often go to the cinema on Saturday morning.Student B: Lily often go to the park on Saturday afternoon.Student C: Lily often go to a drawing club on Saturday evening. Student D: Lilys Saturday is bad.Step3. PracticeUse the sentence you learn in the context and describe the pictures.Student A: I often go skiing on the weekend. I am good at skiing, so I can skiing very fast. It is fun.Student B: I often go rock climbing with my friends. It often feels scary, but it is very safe.Student C: I often go for a walk on the beach. I also like playing Frisbee there with my parents and swimming in the sea.Student D: I often go to the National Museum with my dad. I like looking at all the trains. I can even drive a train at the Museum. Step4. Lets learn the story.Read the story and tell the main idea of the text in the students own words. 1. Let the students speak in front of the class. 2. Encourage them not to be shy when they stand there. 3. Give the students chances to speak loudly in front of the class.Step5.
