Unit 15 Lesson 3 Teachers教材分析Teachers分三部分:Reading向学生提供了师生互相展开美好回忆、互为介绍的两篇小短文,表现了深厚的师生情;Grammar 通过一系列的活动,帮助学生掌握wish和should have的用法;Language in Use 的活动旨在使学生在情景中学会灵活运用wish和should have。第一课时First Period教学目标1. Read two passages about describing a student and a teacher, use the expressions to retell the text or to describe a teacher.2. Enable the students to talk about teachers and educate them to show love and respect for teachers.3. Help the students to talk about teachers and show love and respect for teachers.教学重难点1. Use reading skills to understand the two passages.2. Students will be asked to write a passage about their own teacher who helped them a lot.教学方法Scanning, skimming and discussing. 教具准备A recorder, a computer and a projector.教学过程与方式Step I Lead-in Talk about teachers own favorite teacher.Ask the Ss to work in pairs and discuss the two questions: Who was your favourite teacher at primary and junior high school? Why did you like him / her? After a while, check the students discussion. Step II Reading Ask the students to read the texts on page 40 and learn about what a student and a teacher think about each other.Listen, read the texts fast and try to answer the following questions.1 Who is the student and who is the teacher?2 What is the student now and when did he met his teacher?3 What subject did the teacher teach the student and where? Careful reading Give Ss a few minutes to read the texts carefully and get more detailed information about it. Do Exercise 2 on page 40 and try to answer the questions in it. After a few minutes, check the answers together. Test your memory Ask Ss to complete the text and sentences according to the passage from memory. Step III Discussion Ask the Ss to exchange ideas about what makes a good teacher. Encourage them express their ideas.Step WritingGet the students to read the passages on page 47 and answer the following questions:1 What subject does the teacher teach?2 Why does writer like the teacher?Then ask Ss to write down a passage: My Favorite Teacher Step V Summary and homeworkT: Today we read some passages about teachers. I hope youll love your teachers more. After class, please continue to finish writing the passage “My Favorite Teacher”. I wish I was as successfulas I was with He is as good a teacher as a father.He doesnt go home as much as he used to.Please take as many books as you want.You can take as many as ten books. 多达as +adj,+a/an +n. + as 和一样是一个as +adj/adv. + as 和一样as +many/much as sb. want 想要多少.就有多少as +many/much/far + as 多达/远达练习: 他和郭锋一样是个好歌手He is as good a singer as Guofeng.这道题没那道题难This problem isnt as/so difficult as that one.你想喝多少牛奶就喝多少. Please drink as much milk as you want.你最多可以喝3杯牛奶.
