Teaching aids: Multi-media, tape recorder. Teaching steps:Step 1 Review The teacher ask the Ss: What animals do you like? And why do you like them?Find several students to answer the question.Step 2 Warm up Let students look at the pictures and guess what the teachers favorite animal is. The teacher answers: “ I like elephants best because they are very smart” lead to the new lesson.Step 3 Presentation 1. Play a short video “ elephant culture in Thailand ”, let student learn something about elephants: The elephant is the symbol of Thailand. The first flag had a white elephant on it. The white elephant is a symbol of good luck.At the same time, learn the new words and phrase: symbol, flag, a symbol of good luck.2. Play a short video about elephants abilities, let the Ss find out what elephants can do.Present the sentences: They can dance. They can play soccer and basketball. They can also draw well. Tell the Ss “No buying, no killing.”Step 10 Homework.1.Write an article about an animal in danger according to the information you searched (搜索) on the internet.2.Design a poster (海报) to save animals. 课后反思:本节课是人教版英语七年级下册Unit 5Why do you like pandas?Section B(2a-2c)部分,是第五单元的阅读课。英语课程标准指出:“中学英语教学目的是对中学生进行听,说,读,写的基本训练,培养学生口头上和书面上初步运用英语的能力,侧重培养阅读能力。”从某种意义上来说,阅读能力的提高是听,说,写能力提高的关键。因此,提高阅读技能是初中英语教学关键。本节阅读课根据课标要求设计旨在培养培养学生快速阅读抓关键信息,仔细阅读抓细节信息以及归纳语篇的能力,同时渗透构建思维导图的阅读策略培养,帮助学生将零碎的信息分类整理成与主体密切相关又相对独立的块状知识,这不仅能帮助学生深入理解语篇,抓住重要信息,而且能增强学生的思维能力。在本节课快速阅读之前,通过几段小视频和一些图片,我向学生呈现了本节课要出现的重点单词和句子,图文并茂不仅激发了学生学习的兴趣,而且对重点词汇及句子进行了巧妙处理,同时也为下面的阅读做了铺垫。读的过程中,我以贯彻阅读获取信息为主线,通过快速通读全文选取题目、找中心句,细读段落获得细节信息,问题设计通过思维导图的方法,培养锻炼学生的阅读能力与思维能力。读后设计的采访活动,让学生能够学以致用,将所学内容转化为自己的语言,实现了输出。与此同时,阅读之后,让同学们通过思维导图,讨论我们的国宝大熊猫,然后用自己的语言描写,是对所学内容的又一层面的输出。最后,通过观看保护野生动物公益广告的视频,告诉学生“没
