or growth mindest which do you have?We live in an uncertain world with all the technological advances we are experiencing, which means that there is a requirement for a change in mindest (思维模式)In order to be on top of our game both personally and organizationally, we need to develop a growth mindset.A fixed mindset supposes that you have native abilities and are naturally clever or skilled in certain areas of life. When you receive information about how you have performed in a test or set of tasks, you may worry about how you are judged. Our parents probably said to us when we were young, “Since you scored really well in that test, you must be clever.” However, by being repeatedly told “You are clever” or “You are really great at your job”, a persons selfesteem (自尊) is actually damaged. The growthmindset individuals view life as a series of exciting challenges and want to constantly learn.Brain activity occurs in this mindset when they receive information about what they could do better or improve. They do not view their abilities as fixed or as failure.Learning is king and the more they practice, the more they know they will succeed. What is important is giving praise around process and not around ability. For example, instead of saying “Since you got a great score, you must be clever”, say “You got a great score, and you must have tried really hard”This creates a challenge in individuals and encourages them to take on more tasks, responsibilities and risks. The meanings of mindsets are massive for business. If you have fixedmindset managers, they will not be fans of giving feedback (反馈)They will not want to change themselves or others because they fear failure. Therefore, the business could stagnate because there is no risk or innovation (创新) occurring.Listen from your own fixed mindset for example, “I cant do that” and answer with a growthmindset response “I cant do that yet!” Remember, there is no such thing as failure and theres only learning. If you dont fail occasionally, you will never learn to change and grow. 1What is the authors opinion of ability.DLearning from the fixed mindset. 特别是第三段最后一句“Learning is king and the .they will succeed.” 4What does the underlined word in Paragraph 5 mean?AMake progress. BStand still.CKeep moving. DBe successful. 从画线词所在的句子和前一句“They will not want to change themselves .there is no risk or innovation (创新) occurring.” I still remember the happiest moment of my life. I decided to hold a party for my Italian friends while living in Florence, Italy. My friends didnt speak any English. And I vividly remember 1 (try) to only speak Italian in 2 party. And then, someone asked me to tell a joke.I dont know if you know this, but 3 (tell) jokes in another language is one of the most 4 (pain) experiences you can imagine.I began the joke.“Cera una volta (Once upon a time) .”Halfway through the joke, I began to get nervous, so I suddenly forgot the Italian words. And 30 Italians were staring at me, 5 (wait) for the joke to come to an end. At the last minute, I remembered and completed the joke. I waited for the sound of crickets . But instead I experienced a 6 (thunder) laugh and a round of applause. I made dozens of Italians laugh, in their country, in their language. 7 today, that memory continues to be one of the 8 (happy) moments Ive ever experienced. And its the reason 9 , over the last four years, I 10 (study) languages and now I can speak five: English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and German. 1tryingremember doing sth. 10have been studying根据时间状语“over the last four years”及语境可知这里应用现在完成进行时。. Two years before, I traveled to Brazil and rented for a car. Unfortunate, I had an accident and hit another car, which made me staying in a hospital for at least two weeks. I called my parents, but I did not tell them what happened. As a result, nobody knew
