Good afternoon, Today, we will learn unit 3,lesson 1, our topic is Weather. Analysis of Teaching materials: this lesson belongs to words teaching, we will learn 4 important words : hot ,cool ,cold ,warm and an important phrase “its cold/ hot/ warm /cold in ”. We need to use these 4 words to describe weather and finally we can skillfully use these words and phrases . Teaching Target: to sue hot, cool, cold and warm to describe the weather ,or the weather condition in some where. To read the chant fluently二 Important and difficult points: The difficult parts in this lesson are the pronunciation of “weather report” and how to skillfully express report the weather.Teaching methods:In the principle of taking students as subjectivity and taking teachers as leaders, I will use Direct teaching method, Sample method, lecture method and play method.etc三Teaching process At first, in the part of review, we can review the important and difficult sentences we have learned before, practice oral English。When teaching this lesson, teachers can talk about the weather of that day to lead in the topic“weather”,then, learning four new words through the cartoon of Doraemons traveling in four different cities, to arose students learning interest。 When teaching these four words, teachers can use body language to help students memorize the words we have learned, at the same time, teachers can show the antonym of these four words to strengthen students impression. When teaching these words, teacher also should pay attention the ability of writing.In order to check the results of students learning, I design the boom game (use multimedia to show the words , let students to read it loudly and do the required actions at the same time, when see the word “boom”, just bend over a desk). The aim of this activity is to strengthen the knowledge we have learned by distinguishing the words. To make the whole class more active.Use the multimedia to do the game“guessing“, combined with the four cities to review the four words and the sentence “ its what in what ”. This can help students clearly understand the words and sentences and learn the content in a relax atmosphere. . Then , playing the game “whispering” to practice the words and sentences. Students telling the word or sentence in a low voice , in order to win the game ,students need to cooperate with others and speak the words out, this actually strengthen students ability of memory and application. Finally , teachers can set as an example to t report the weather and let students imitate the weather reporter in a group. Let the groups compete with each other to choose the “best weather reporter”. That kind of activity not only improve students interest , but also let students immerse in a relax atmosphere. When teaching the chant ,firstly, I ask students to listen , then find the difficult and important parts and solve them。When teaching , I will do some actions to help them comprehend .When singing the chant , let students singing one by one ,group by group or change from boys to girls.Finally , in the part of Consolidation and Extension, I also design a game. let students report weather for their family members or friends and pay attention the weather condition in the week to come ,the aim of this game is to apply what they learned into practice and review what they have learned today.
