Encourage the students to guess the content of listening materials.新课导入设计导入一:Using computers to teach children without teachers网络的兴起使得现在的学习不仅仅局限与课堂,越来越多的人包括学生都在网络上学习自己所需要的东西。 A 10-year experiment that started with Indian slum children being given access to computers has produced a new concept for education.Professor Sugata Mitra first introduced children in a Delhi slum to computers in 1999 when he was working for a software company in Delhi.The children barely went to school, they didnt know any English, they had never seen a computer before and they didnt know what the internet was. To his surprise, the children quickly figured out how to use the computers and access the Internet.I repeated the experiment across India and noticed that children will learn to do what they want to learn to do. One group in Rajasthan(印度邦名), he said, learnt how to record and play music on the computer within four hours of it arriving in their village. At the end of it we concluded that groups of children can learn to use computers on their own irrespective(不管,不考虑) of who or where they are, he said. No child would play with it inside the classroom. If you leave it on the pavement and all the adults go away then they will show off to one another about what they can do, said Prof Mitra. It doesnt work if you give them each a computer individually. He has tested the spaces in the UK and Italy, with similar results, and now believes it should be tested more widely. Im convinced that we could change everything, he said.导入二:电脑科技的发展和网络技术的兴起,使得虚拟现实在社会的各个领域得到了长足的发展。What is Virtual Reality?The term Virtual Reality (VR) is used by many different people with many meanings. There are some people to whom VR is a specific collection of technologies, that is a Head Mounted Display, Glove Input Device and Audio. Some other people stretch the term to include conventional books, movies or pure fantasy and imagination. The NSF taxonomy mentioned in the introduction can cover these as well. However, my personal preference, and for purposes of this paper, we restrict VR to computer mediated systems. The best definition of Virtual Reality I have seen to date comes from the book The Silicon Mirage (see section on VR Books):Virtual Reality is a way for humans to visualize, manipulate and interact with computers and extremely complex dataThe visualization part refers to the computer generating visual, auditory or other sensual outputs to the user of a world within the computer. This world may be a CAD model, a scientific simulation, or a view into a database. The user can interact with the world and directly manipulate objects within the world. Some worlds are animated by other processes, perhaps physical simulations, or simple animation scripts. Interaction with the virtual world, at least with near real time control of the viewpoint, in my opinion, is a critical test for a virtual reality.Some people object to the term Virtual Reality, saying it is an oxymoron. Other terms that have been used are Synthetic Environments, Cyberspace, Artificial Reality, Simulator Technology, etc. VR is the most common and sexiest. It has caught the attention of the media.The applications being developed for VR run a wide spectrum, from games to architectural and business planning. Many applications are worlds that are very similar to our own, like CAD or architectural modeling. Some applications provide ways of viewing from an advantageous perspective not possible with the real world, like scientific simulators and telepresense systems, air traffic control systems.
