Unit 9 My favorite subject is science【设计思路】 本节课是第九单元的第一课时,本节课教授的词汇主要是科目,课型属于听说课。学生在小学已经接触过谈论自己所喜欢的学科方面的知识,本节课进一步地学习有关知识。而本课时是第一课时,所授的知识点应该浅显易懂,并教授本单元的重点。本课时围绕着几个学科的词汇和以what、why引导的特殊疑问句展开。 首先是掌握词汇,在学习相关的词汇之后,重点是要掌握以what、why引导的特殊疑问句。本课时的主要句型是 -Whats your/his/her favorite subject?-My/His/Her favorite subject is -Why do you like?-Because its .【The teaching material教学内容分析】Unit 9 My favorite subject is scienceisfrom Grade 7 Book 1 Go for it. In this unit, the main topic is “School subject”. The Ss will learn to speak the new words and use the target language. This topic is related to their daily life. So it can raise their learning interests and improve their spoken English. 【The students学情分析】The students in Grade 7 have learnt English in primary school for many years. So they have learnt some vocabularies and they can speak a little English. They eager to show and interested in English, but they are shy. So let them do more activities and use the target language to take part in the class again and again. 【Teaching aims教学目标 】Knowledge object知识目标: The Ss can master the new words anduse the target language. 1. new words and phrases : favorite, subject, science, music, math, Chinese, geography, history, why, because 2. target language :Be able to talk about preferences and give reasons- Whats your/his/her favorite subject? - My/His/Her favorite subject is - Why do you like ? - Because its Ability object能力目标: To train the Ss abilities of reading, listening, speaking and writing.Moral object 情感目标: To raise Ss interests in learning English;Improve the relationship between Ss【 key points and difficult points重难点 】1、Mater the key words and expressions. 2、Be able to talk about preferences and give reasons.【 Teaching methods教学方法 】1. Warming up and Lead-in1 Greet Ss as usual and play a video. Have ss learn the words about subjects from the video.T: Ill play a video, and the whole class will see it and learn the words. If possible, the whole class can follow the tape and read the words loudly.2 Do some exercise in the textbook. (1a, 1b)T: Match the words with the pictures.T: Listen and circle the subjects you hear in 1a.Step2. Presentation, Drill and Practice1 Show some pictures about fruit and colors they have learned.T: Whats your favorite fruit/color?2 Show some pictures about several subjects and ask a student. T: Whats your favorite subject? 3 Pair work and have some pairs to perform.T: Talk with your partner about your favorite subjects like this.(板书: Whats your favorite subject?/ My favorite subject is)4 Guessing game.T: Whats his/her favorite subject?5 Chain drill.T: Look at the example.
