挖掘阅读资源 提高学生阅读能力小学英语阅读教学研究给我带来的反思阅读能力是语言信息输入接受能力的核心要素,是语言学习中最重要、运用最广泛的一种能力,是语言学习中其他所有技能的基础,能带动其他几项语言能力的发展,同时也为更高的语言成就铺平道路。在所有的语言技能中,阅读能力也是就容易保持的。学生一旦掌握了阅读的能力,不用老师的帮助就能在阅读的过程中自主学习。新课程标准规定小学阶段英语阅读量达到累计1012万字,相当于要读2000篇左右的小短文。然而,现在小学生所使用的教材中,阅读材料比较单一,篇幅数量非常有限,很难满足学生大量阅读的需要。要达到这样的目标,没有足够的语言材料和阅读实践是不行的。因此,还需要通过使用大量的课外辅导书,来补充阅读和训练。近年来,我利用教材资源和挖掘有意义的阅读资源,引发学生广泛地进行英语阅读,促进了英语教学质量的整体提高,有利于发展学生英语的潜能。下面是我在英语阅读教学中的点滴体会。一、教材是最实用的阅读资源近几年,我们采用了开心学英语(Friends with English)这套教材。这套教材每单元的特点是先以淘气、好奇、好学和善良的Gogo与他的好友Tony和Jenny进行生动有趣的生活、学习活动来展开本单元的语言知识点。接着把新词汇和新句型有机结合起来,通过词-句-章的学习进一步深化语言知识点。最后以Practice l( Read, listen and check) Practice 2 ( Ask and answer). Song activity (Listen, write and sing ). Activity (Read and write). Sounds and words.(Listen point and say. Listen and chant)等活动形式巩固本单元语言知识点,使学生形成初步的英语语感,帮助学生具备初步的用英语进行交流的能力。我最欣赏的部分是Conversation 和Activity。这两部分的内容是这套教材最方便、最有使用价值的阅读材料,我把Conversation, Activity作为课堂教学阅读材料,有计划、有目的、有步骤地开展有效的阅读教学。(一)Conversation阅读教学Conversation新的语言都是通过饶有风趣的连环画式的短小故事自然呈现,学生渴望了解故事内容的同时不知不觉地加深对所学语言的理解和记忆,并感受到阅读的乐趣,逐渐养成通过阅读学习的习惯。如:开心学英语(Friends with English)Book 8 Unit 10 We are going to go to Tibet.我的阅读教学形式是:第一步:引导学生熟读课文,全班听录音朗读、小组朗读、分角色朗读,并把难句抽出来,引导学生仿读、有节奏地读。还进行适当的造句,加深对课文的理解。如:课文中“There are no beaches in Tibet.”引导学生造句:There are no mountains in Guangzhou. There are no tigers on the hill. There are no apples in the bag. ect.第二步:开展抢答活动,提高竞争意识。1.Where are Gogo, Tony and Jenny going to go?2.How are they going to get there?3.Where are they going to stay?4.What are they going to do there?第三步:拓展知识视野,诱发学生英语思维,提高阅读能力。Where?How?Stay where?Do what?Tibet by plane in a hotelgo sightseeingYunnan by train stay relativesvisit relatives四人小组活动,合编对话,最后分角色扮演,共同用英语交流。Tony and Jenny: We are going to go to Yunnan for a vacation.Gogo: Hurray! I love beaches!Jenny: No , Gogo! There are no beaches in Yunnan ! There are mountains.Gogo: Mountains? I like them better! How are we going to get there?Jenny: We are going to go by train.Gogo: Can we go camping?Jenny: Its too cold for camping ,Gogo. Were going to stay with relatives.Tony and Jenny: OK, you can camp with the bears and the wolves.Gogo: Erno ,I think Ill stay with relatives.(二)Activity阅读教学Activity阅读部分主要训练学生读写,进一步理解、认读或书写本单元所学词汇或句型。还通过交际性语言活动提高学生灵活运用语言的能力。在Activity的教学中,我通常用“读、写、用”形式开展阅读教学活动。“读”就是引导学生认真阅读,仔细阅读短文,找出短文中的关键词。如Friends with EnglishBook8 Unit7 Activity:Today was a bad day! First, I lost my English book. Next, I forgot my homework. Then , I missed the bus. I hope tomorrow is a better day. 关键词:Today was First NextThenI hope.“写”就是在“读”的基础上,口头和笔头回答问题。我引导学生先口头回答问题,然后笔头回答问题。如:1.Was it a good day or a bad day today? 2.First,what did you lose? 3.Did you forget your homework, next? 4.What did you miss, then ? “用”就是运用以上的关键词,模仿Activity的短文,引导学生用英语交际。例如:Today was a bad day! First, I woke up late. Next, I got up late. Then, I was late. Thats a really bad day!“读、写、用”的阅读模式,我认为在小学英语课堂阅读教学中实用性强,具有可操作性。每次阅读课后我都进行“课堂反映”调查,结果大多数学生认为课堂效果好,不但学会英语阅读方法,而且教学能以人为本,面向上全体学生。二、挖掘有教育意义的阅读资源(一)中国节日是有趣的阅读材料 中国节日体现中华民族的风俗习惯、风土人情、文化意识、文明礼貌。在英语阅读教学中,我找准时机,穿插节日阅读材料,既使学生学到英语知识,又可以进行思想品德教育。以此进行学科思教育,激发学生学习兴趣和学习动力。如:Teachers DayTeachers Day is coming. Its on September 10th.Were going to make nice cards for our teachers. They will be very happy. We go to school from Monday to Friday . We have 3 lessons in the morning and two in the afternoon. In class we listen to them carefully. We like Chinese and math. We also like English ,art, music and P.E. In the evening we do our homework and read some books. Sometimes we watch TV with our parents. We study hard. Our teachers are very friendly to us and we love them a lot. We wish our teachers: “Happy Teachers Day!”根据短文内容选择正确答案( )1.Teachers Day is on _. A. Oct. 10th B. Sep.10th C. Aug. 10th( )2.We are going to _ many presents to our teachers.A.give B. let C. show( )3.On Teachers Day, our teachers are very _.A.sad B. beautiful C. happy( )4.We wish our _:“Happy Teachers Day!” A. mothers B. friends C. teachers(二)日常生活话题是有用的阅读材料在平常的教学中,我利用这个热门话题编写英语阅读材料,增加英语阅读量。引导学生开展阅读交流活动,营造英语阅读的氛围。Chinese FoodMy dear friends, Danny , welcome to China! Now I want to introduce(介绍) Chinese meals to you.We Chinese people have three meals very day. We have breakfast at about 7:00.We have eggs, bread, noodles, milk or other food for breakfast. Lunch is a big meal of the day in China. We always have lunch at about 12:00. Students have lunch at school on school days. Workers have lunch at their companies(公司).We have rice, vegetables , meat, soup or other food for lunch. We always have dinners at home at about 6:00 p.m. We have rice, vegetables, fish, and meat. The dinner is usually big, too.In a word, I think Chinese food is very delicious(美味可口的). Please remember to have some Chinese food when come to China. I hope you will like it. Can you tell me something about the food in your country?根据短文内容回答问题1.How many meals do Chinese people have every day? _2.What do Chinese people have for breakfast? _3.What time do Chinese people have lunch? _4.What does the writer think of Chinese food? _在平时的英语教学中, 我注重搜集日常生活话题,并编成适合学生阅读的英语材料。让学生有更多的机会学习英语,接触英语,感受英语,逐步提高英语阅读能力。 当前,英语阅读教学是一个新的研究课题。如何发挥学生的学习主体性,激活学生的阅读兴趣,强化学生的阅读动
