In order to encourage students to use what they have learnt.Step 2 Ask students to read the “Reading”Listen to the tape and read the “Reading” loudly.Read the “Space Travel”frequently.Step 3Show students some pictures and ask them to describe the pictures to each otherAsk some students to describe the pictures to the class.Ask students to do the “True or False” questions on the book.Describe the picturesDo some “True of False”1.Space scientists can both travel and work in space now.2.They do not have to wear spacesuits to work in space stations.3.Space stations are too small for scientists to work in space now.4.Space scientists have already built a base on the moon.5.Space scientists will try to travel to the other planets in the future.6.It will be possible for people to be born, live, study and work on the other planets during the 21st century.Step 4A group work“An ET introduces itself”.Give students some information, then tell the students that suppose you are an ET from a star or a planet, please introduce yourselves.Ask students to work in groups of four to “introduce yourself” as an ET.The group leaders come to the front and introduce their star/planet.Act out”an ET”then following the questions:Where are you from?
