Unit 9 What do you think of game shows?Section A一、教学设计思路:1、本单元的教学活动设计以任务型教学为主线,以学生为学习的主体,以任务为中心,在运用语言完成任务的过程中来学习,体会和掌握语言。2、把英语作为一门语言,一种工具来教,尤其注重了语言的交际功能。(在做中学,在学中用)。3、在教学过程中,尽量把各环节设计的贴近学生的实际、贴近生活、丰富想象。让学生在营造得的较真实的英语环境中去亲身参与、体验、独立思考、合作探究,从而使教和学达到一种比较理想的效果。4、灵活运用教材考虑从易到难易于接受的原则可以将顺序稍作调整,很简单的部分在其他部分如果有涉及也可不单独处理二、教材分析本单元的题目是 “What do you think of game shows?”整个单元就是围绕询问以及回答对某类电视节目的看法而展开。主要语言功能项目是一般现在时主谓结构的特殊疑问句、肯定句等。语法结构为What do you think of game shows? I lovelikecant standdont like dont mind them.本单元Section A的内容是从简单的电视节目名称入手,并配有大量的图片来简化学生对词汇的理解。然后从学语言的五大要素“听、说、读、写、译”的“听”开始来加强对基础知识的积累,有了一定的积累之后再开始设计说和读的内容,所呈现的是一般现在时和一般过去时态的几种句型的基本结构以及初步运用。因此教材内容从基本语言知识到语言综合运用,从易到难层层递进,听、说、读、写依次展开,循序渐进,易于接受。三、学情分析学生在前六个单元着重主要是学习现在进行时的各种用法.第七和第八单元主要学习一般过去时.这个单元的侧重点在一般现在时,一般过去时也有所涉及.但这又是一个难点,很多同学到了初中毕业未必就能将这几种结构分清楚,因此一开始必须给他们一个清晰的概念,让它们区别好基础的动词,为以后更好的学习其它几种时态打基础.四、教学目标知识目标1、要求学生学会一些电视节目的和一些日常物品的名称.talk shows, sports shows, game shows, sitcoms, soap operas ,sunglasses, wallet, key ring, belt2、要求学生询问并陈述自己对事物的看法。What do you think of game shows? I lovelikecant standdont like dont mind them。能力目标开展任务型听力活动,获得,理解、识别和处理相关信息的能力引导同步阅读,理解与主话题相关的语言材料,增强学生运用语言获取更多信息的能力。进行写作练习,培养学生初步综合运用语言的能力。使学生具备较熟练的运用问答对电视节目的看法的句型展开交际活动的能力。培养学生独立思考的能力和跟其他学生合作探究的能力.情感目标电视节目,是大家都熟悉的话题,通过表达自己的看法,来增进学生和学生、尤其教师和学生之间的友谊,拉近师生之间的距离。五、教学重点及难点:1.重点:描述对电视节目的喜好:What do you think of ?I lovelikecant standdont like dont mind them。2.难点:一般现在时根据人称变化句型:What do you think of?What does she think of?What do they think of六、学习策略要求学生课前作好预习,通过自主学习,多掌握一些电视节目的词汇;再通过合作学习,相互交流自己的资料与课本资料,通过探究、模仿练习得出问答对某类电视节目表达看法的句型,达到熟练掌握与灵活运用的目的。对将要学习的内容也略加理解.七、课时安排Period 1(SectionA1a 2c)Period 2(SectionA 3a -4)八、教学过程设计Period 1Step 1. Warming up先问学生What do you usually do on weekends?同学们肯定会说出I watch TV.让学生说他们喜欢什么样类型的电视节目。然后出示学习目标,让学生明确本节课要学习的内容。紧接着让学生根据出示的图片来记忆各种电视节目的类型。.(此活动必须以作好课前准备为基础,学生对于电视节目的类型不是太熟悉,有些电视节目的名词根本没有学。既能发挥学生的积极主动性,又能锻炼他们搜集处理信息的能力。)Step 2. Presentation呈现图片,学习关于各种电视节目的名称如:talk shows, sports shows, game shows, sitcoms, soap operas 教师要领读,然后必须让学生记忆。1a, first match the shows with the pictures. Then talk about the shows and ask the students what they see in the pictures.教师让学生看1a的图片然后完成1a通过以上图片的练习,学生就能较容易的完成1a(本环节通过各种活动,目的是强化训练,加深印象,并学习新的单词,为后面的学习打下最坚实的基础。)Step 3.listening1listen to the tape and write the letters next to the words.2Ask and answer questions:Eg. What do you think of?I love/ like.etc.3Have students work in pairs.(教师必须做出相应的提示,必要时教师也可做出示范。选用的图片也要尽量选用有明确特征的一些图片,并且也要有趣味性)42a first ask a student to read the list to the class. Say: The people are talking about TV show. Number the words and phrases 1-5 in the order you hear them.2b,listen again and fill in the blanks. Then check the answer the answers.Have the students practice the dialogue several times.5Show the students the tapescript, ask the students to read and remember.(我们课本的内容资料本身就很少,听力材料也是能提供给学生的仅有的资料。学生在学好英语的途中必须完成一个量的积累,大脑中储备下大量的语言信息,量变达到一定的积累程度自然会发生质变。)Step 4. PracticeAsk the students to imagine “What do you think of yourself?”(同时也可以作为一个作业,让学生课下好好设计一下,想象一下。)Step5 SummaryGo over the Grammar Focus of this lessonStep6. Exercises(所有的练习题的选择都围绕本节课所讲的重点和难点来进行练习,有利于学生加强巩固知识。)Step7. Homeworkperiod 2Step1.Warming up让一个学生站在前面,“What do you think of him?”让其他的学生对该学生进行复述。接下来再让几个学生到前面去,还是做这个活动。(这样的小组活动,有利于培养学生的创新,又能让学生在实践中学习,在交流中运用语言.)Step 2. presentatin1how the students four pictures , ask the students to describe “What do you think of game shows?” Ask them to prepare for several minutes.(学生可以根据图片以及上堂课所学的内容,对图片的电视节目进行描述。给学生划分小组,让学生有竞争意识,学生准备就会积极,发言时就会踊跃。)2给出王小丫的图片,学生熟悉她是主持人,假设她在采访Wang Lin和Alan。Step 3.Practice把调查结果告诉学生,然后做小组活动“What does Alan think of ?”He it. HomeworkUnit 9 What do you think of game shows?一、教学目标1、知识目标:学习本单元的词汇和句型结构1)词汇:think of, soap, soap opera, situation, sitcom, nothing, ha, listing, mind, How about?, super, host, agree, clip, hair clip, key ring, belt, wallet, fashion, opinion, idea, colorful2)句型结构:What do you think of soap operas?I cant stand them.I dont, either.I love “Tell it like it is!”I do ,too.2、能力目标:1) 学会陈述自己的看法和意见。2) 学会谈论自己的喜好。3) 谈论流行文化,了解各类电影和电视节目的名称。4) 了解一些日常生活用品,描述对其喜好程度。3、策略目标:利用不同媒体获取相关的学习资源,通过合作、探究的方式学习;学会正确评价自己的学习行为和学习效果。4、情感目标:学会客观地评价事物;正确表达自己的意见;正确认识流行文化。二、教学重、难点1、重点:学习及掌握陈述自己的看法、意见及喜好的词汇和基本句型。2、难点:正确运用What do you think of ? 及I like/love/dont like/cant stand等句型结构来表达对客观事物的评价。三、教学建议:1、课时及内容建议本单元建议用5个课时完成第一课时section A 1a-1c第二课时section A 2a-2c(grammar focus)第三课时section A 3a-4第四课时section B 1a-2c第五课时section B 3a-4第四课时步骤1 就同学身边有的物品询问同学的看法。如:What do you think of this pencil-case?What do you think of this school bag?What do you think of his hairsty le?What do you think of her T-shirt?步骤2 活动:实物展示,让学生自由评价这些物品。展示的实物至少应该包括1a中所出现的物品,如:皮带(belt),太阳镜(sunglasses),表(watch),发卡(hair clip),钥匙环(key ring),围巾(scarf),钱夹(wallet)等。教学生词,让学生自由交谈对所陈列的物品的意见,并形成对话。步骤3 听录音,完成练习(2a)。步骤4 听录音,完成练习(2b)。步骤5 听后活动:谈论Carol和paul对所列出来的物品的意见和看法。What does Carol think of the watch?What does paul think of the sunglasses? Etc.步骤6 活动:通过图片展示各式各样的能吸引学生兴趣的物品(或接近学生生活实际的物品)。如:高级轿车(cars),牛仔裤(jeans),耐克运动鞋(sports shoes),肯得基快餐店(KFC)等。引导学生对这些物品发表自己的观点,并谈论父母对此的看法。注意引导学生正确对待高消费和不健康的生活方式。第五课时(Section B 3a-4)步骤1 就当前社会或学校里比较流行的活动或物品表达自己的观点,教学本堂课中要学习的新词:fashion, opinion, the coolest thing等。引导学生发表自己的观点,或转述他人的意见。What do you think of Jays new songs? (或其他某位影星)What do you think of the T-shirt?在评价学生的回答时,巩固本堂课中要学习的新词:fashion, opinion, the coolest thing等。步骤2 初读文章Whats Cool?,回答问题。Who wrote this article?What was the coolest thing?步骤3 细节阅读。读文章Whats Cool?,回答问题。What did Maria ask the students about?How many things did she show to the students?Who answered the questions?Did all the students agree with each other?Why did Maria think the coolest thing was the belt?检查学生的理解情况,并对部分语言点进行讲解。步骤4 写作练习。根据要求完成一封写给Maria的信。(3b)订正答案时,讲解部分词的用法。如enjoy doing sth.这一结构。步骤5 活动:我做小记者。在同学中展开对校园文化的调查,如调查同学对校园环境的意见,对体育课的看法,对本班教室的看法等,并将结果和调查所得出的结论写成报道。五、课堂练习:I、选择填空。1.
