Act out the dialogue .Ask some pairs to come to the front to act out their onw dialogues . SB Page 9, Part 4. 1. Read the instructions and demonstrate what a “mime” is . 2. Read the dialogue by the Ss . 3. Ask a student to come to the front and mime an illness ,the other Ss guess what the illness is . 4. Ask one student to give advice . 5. Give several students an opportunity to come to the front and mime an illness . Step 5 Homework 1. When you had some problems.please remember what the doctor said . 3. Remember the new words .Period 3 Teaching procedures : Step 1 Leading in 1. Free talk . 2. Play the game :One student mimes an illness , the other students guess the illness and give advice . The parts of the body2. I have a headache/stomachache/toothache/sore back/sore throat.3. You should go to bed/drink some water.Teaching procedure:Step1.Learn the new words about the parts of the body.1. Ask the students : How many parts of the body can you name? Help the students to answer by pointing to the head, the hand, the leg and the foot. Then write the words on the blackboard and read them loudly./P2. Point and say the names of any body parts students dont know and write the words on the blackboard .Teach them to read the words.Step2.Groupwork1. Get the students to read the words in pairs.2. Practice the words like this:S1: (point to his head)Whats this?S2:Its your head. Wheres your hand?S3:Its here.Step3. 1a1. Ask the students to look at the pictures of the students numbered 1 through 5.Several body parts are marked with the letters a m. Write the correct letter after the name of each body part on the list.2. Get the students to discuss and complete by themselves.Step4. Learn the illness1. Give the students an example: Hold the head and say: I have a headache. Then hold the stomach and say: I have a stomachache.Get the students to repeat and explain the meanings of the words and sentences.2. Point to one of the people in the picture and ask: Whats the matter? Then answer: He has a stomachache. Get the students repeat. Then ask the other people and learn the illness such as: have a cold/fever, have a stomachache/toothache, have a sore back/sore throat, ect.3. Ask the students to ask and answer the people in the picture using the sentences: Whats the matter? I have a Step5. 1b1. Get the class to look and read the names in 1b quickly.2. Listen to tape twice and find the correct answers.3. Listen to the tape again. Then ask them to role play the conversations in pairs like this:Sa: Whats the matter, Nancy?Sb: I have a headache.Step6. 2a1. Get the class to read the eight items in groups and try to understand the phrases.2. Give them an example:I have a fever. I should drink lots of water. He has a sore throat. He should drink some hot tea with honey.3. Ask the class to discuss and fill in blanks in 2b.Then get them to read the sentences in groups.Step7. 2c1. Ask the students to read the conversation in 2c and role play the conversations in 2b.2. GroupworkOne student mimes an illness. The other students ask the illness and give advice like this:Sa holds his head. The other students ask him: Whats the matter?Sa: I have a headache.Ss: You should go to see a doctor.Step8 3a1. Get the students to read the conversation in 3a and fill in the blanks. Im spending time with my friends . When are you going ? I m going next week How long are you staying here?Were staying for two weeks 情感目标: 通过学习,同学们应学会如何询问朋友假期的出行计 划。只有学会关心别人,才能得到别人的关心和帮助。 学习策略与思维技巧:通过合作学习,启发学生思维,培养合作意识。跨学科学习: 了解和熟悉当地地理,培养学生对本土文化的热爱。教学过程:一、 播放课件,激趣引入以 学生野餐画面引入,问学生是否也喜欢此活动,假期(National Day is coming )即将到来,自然引入 Unit 3 What are you doing for vacation?二、七嘴八舌屏幕上出现野餐、踢足球等场面,利用Im +Ving 结构教授Im campimg- What is he she doing for vacation ? Discuss in groups .He is campimg visiting my aunt playing football going sightseeing - 在学生反复问答中,即复习了基础知识,又加深对新知识的掌握。学生完成课本1a 进一步加深对这些活动的说法和写法。教师在学生七嘴八舌积极表现时,要多倾听多鼓励。三、寻求帮助,建立感情T:Im going to BeiJing on National Day . Where am I going ? When am I going ? Who am I going with ? How long am I staying ?S:You re going on -DS1:you re going to “the Plalace Museum .Its interesting - S3:-Ss听到老师向他们求救,学生们很高兴的各抒己见。他们带着明确的活动目的,通过思维、讨论、合作等方式,很出色的完成了设定的任务目标,与此同时也扩展了师生间的感情交流的渠道。四.推己及人,步入正题I like your ideas very much .You are vey friendly .Now,lets listen to the tape and fill in the chart .What are Hector,Susan and Molly doing for vacation ?(2a and 2b)播放对话录音,让学生带着问题听内容,并注意及时填写。然后以抢答的方式,并在课件上一一展现出来。通过展现重点、难点使学生在头脑中对假期安排初步感知,为机械操练到语言实际运用的过渡奠定了基础。 五、我是小记者 引导学生 Im a journalist from CCTV .The National Day is coming . What are you doing for Vacation? When are you going ? Please make a survey.各小组成员拿着问卷调查去调查、访问其他的同学。小组选派代表在班上汇报采访结果Group 1:We interviewed four people . Li Hong is going camping with her parents.
