Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark.第二课时一、教材分析(一)、Section A该课时有2个内容模块:1第一模块在以上两模块的基础上以From shy girl to pop star为话题展开训练,训练形式为回答问题、填写表格(3b)和填空;2第二模块拓展思维,让学生随意谈论自己和朋友的过去与现在,并简单陈述一下发生变化的原因。二、三维目标(一)、学习目标掌握重点句型:1. She used to be shy, but now shes not shy anymore.2. She didnt use to be popular at school, but now she gets lots of attention.3. She used to hang out with friends, but it is impossible now.4. She didnt use to be careful about what she says or does, but she is now.掌握重点词汇:background interviewAsiandeal with dareprivateguard require(二)、能力目标1、To learn to understand and use used to + verb 2、To listen and talk about what one used to be like and what one used to do(三)、情感目标培养学生积极健康的心态,学会谈论事物的发展和变化,明白事物是不断发展、变化的道理。三、教学重点1、单词和句型2、写作:谈论自己或是朋友的过去与现在四、教学难点1本单元主要内容是学会used to结构。Used to +动词原形表示过去经常、以前常常,只用于过去式中,用来表示现在已不存在的习惯或状态。例如:They used to play football together他们过去常在一起蹋足球。(现在不在一起踢了)2used to的疑问形式和否定形式为Did you use to?和I didnt use to 也可以用Used you to?和I used not to但现在多使用前者。五、教学策略任务型教学法以及小组合作六、教学准备多媒体 表演道具七、教学环节I. 课堂导入1引导学生依据PPT照片,谈论照片中人物的变化,运用“used to”造句。2要求学生进行汉译英训练,巩固“used to”的用法。II. 课堂讲授1、Preparation(1)Contents:Warming upRevision(2)Methods: Teacher leads the students to say the important words and some sentences.(3) Purpose:复习前面学习的重点单词与句型,创造英语学习氛围;2、Tuning in1)Lets look at page 27From shy girl to pop star。2)Look at the following pictures and answer the questions below. 3、Text(1) Read the article quickly to find out what each paragraph tells us. (2) Read paragragh 1carefully and answer the questions.Who interviewed Candy Wang this month?Who is Candy Wang?What did Candy use to be like?How did Candy deal with her shyness?Whats she like now?(3) Read paragragh 2 and fill in the chart(4) Read paragragh 3 and complete the sentencesAdvice to young people:Young people have to be prepared to_.The road to success is so _.They really require _.Only a small number of people_(5) Read the article again and complete the sentences about Candy.1.
