Have you ever been to a museum?Section B 2a-2e 教材人教版新目标英语八年级下册教学单元Unit 9 Have you ever been to a amusement ?教学内容阅读 Singapore-A place You Will Never Forget!教材分析教材词汇表中所列出本课时要学习的新词汇很多,但是其中学生在此课时学习之前已经学过的词汇有:spring, autumn,season,holiday;根据构词法学生可以猜出语义的词汇有:natural,southeast ( 小学学习nature park和south, east)以及whenever(学生已经对when、ever很熟悉了);在语篇教学中可以借助上下文语境和课本插图猜测出语义的词汇有:population, excellent,fear, brave, daytime, wake up, awake,equator,dark, Night Safari(夜间动物园的名字)。还有不会阻碍学生阅读的生词:wonderful , simply,fox,Indian。实际上本课时需要课前学习的新词汇是three quarters,environment, temperature, all year round,而这些词汇可以在“Before You Read”讨论环节提供的情景中呈现,引导学生初步学习。因此我认为本阅读课词汇学习难度适中。学情分析我校初二学生有较高的表现欲望,而且普遍对旅游的活动感兴趣,但是没有机会出国旅游,因此他们缺少对其他国家的亲身经历,对其他国家的文化了解不够。根据这点我就设计让学生根据图片了解其它国家。课型 Reading and writing教学模式 Task-Based Language Teaching课时安排教学时间The fourth period(单元教学中的第四课时)45分钟教学目标一、语言基础知识:单词与词组:southeast, wonderful, holiday, quarter, three quarters, population, simply, fear, brave, excellent, Indian, Night Safari, daytime, wake, wake up, fox, natural, environment, temperature, all year round, equator, whenever, spring, autumn, season, awake句型:Have you ever been to?语法:现在完成时(Present perfect tense): have /has been to, have /has done2、语言基本技能:1)学生能记忆、理解本课时描写新加坡文化的词汇语义。2)学生能读懂提供的文章材料,并获取新加坡的语言、人口、食物、野生动物园、气候等文化信息完成任务。3)学生能运用本单元的语法句型“Have you ever been to ?”为自己的家乡(掌布)写一篇广告,并能在广告中,尽量用上本课时的重点词汇“wonderful, holiday,population,brave, excellent,natural, environment,temperature, all year round”。二、学习策略:1、认知策略(阅读策略):学生能利用课本上的插图与上下文猜测词义、对词汇进行归类;能在scanning中根据topic sentences或者key words迅速掌握文章大意,并学会使用思维导图。在细读后能写出尽量多的、通过阅读所了解到的有关新加坡文化的内容;2、调控策略:学生能通过互助和资源共享(有关外国首都城市文化资料),来明确自己的学习需要,能抓住机会进行讨论交流。三、 文化意识:学生能通过对不同国家文化的了解,拓展自己的国际视野,加深对不同文化的理解,发展跨文化交际的意识。四、 情感态度:学生能主动参与小组合作学习,乐于接触外国不同文化,同时加深对祖国文化的了解,增强对生活的热爱。教学重、难点1、通过topic sentence和key words迅速掌握文章脉络。2. 运用brainstorming, 更有效理解文章。3、运用本单元的语法句型”Have you ever been to ?”为自己的家乡写一篇广告,并能在广告中,尽量用上本课时的重点词汇“wonderful, holiday,population,brave, excellent,natural, environment,temperature, all year round”。步骤目的教师活动学生活动Step 1Section 1 Pre-readingGroup work(5 minutes)唤起学生对旅游及其它国家的兴趣。1. Guide the students to finish the worksheet in groups.2. Show a map of the world and lead the students to do- report of their groups about their favorite foreign countries in class:Why would you like to go there? What do you think is interesting about that place?What special things are there?3. Present the new words in the procedure of the students writing and talking: three quarters, environment, temperature, all year round, wonderful.1.Write down four things our group knows about another foreign countries with the worksheet. Ask students to read the passage quickly and discuss the key words of each paragraph and draw the mind map 1.(见附件一)1. Read “Have you ever been to Singapore? ” quickly,and find out the key words of each paragraph. Step 3Section 3While-reading(II) (8 minutes)指导学生运用细读策略和思维导图(见附件二):获取更多有关新加坡文化的细节信息。Ask students to read the text again and finish the mind map 2.(见附件二)Students read the text again carefully and finish the mind map 2.Step 4While-reading (III) (5 minutes)指导学生运用猜词策略:通过课本上的插图与上下文猜测词义。Ask the students to read slowly and thoughtfully. Try to be aware the words they are reading as they read.(见附件四)Guessing the meaning of the words according to the sentences, the picture and the word-building.Step 5 While-reading (IV)(5 minutes)指导学生运用词汇归类和扩展策略:进行词汇归类与词汇扩展。 Ask students to scan ( look over quickly to find detail) the reading to find more words for the different categories.1.Complete the word map with the words from the reading .(Page 75). (3a)2. Add more words that we know to each group above individually, then compare our words with our partners. (3b)Step 6Post-reading( 10 minutes )指导学生运用本课的语法句型“Have you ever been to ?”写一篇广告,并尽量用上本课所学的重点词汇,“用英语做事”。1. Show some travel advertisements and askthe class to notice how they are presented: the language and the pictures used.2. Ask the students to write an add for theirhometown or for a place they have been to including details about why people should visit it.3.
