Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark. Section 1a-1c教学设计1. 教学目标 (一)、学习目标 掌握重点句型:Mario, you used to be short, didnt you? Yes, I did.He used to be.She used to have. 掌握重点短语和单词:used to do sth ,humorous , silent, outgoing, quiet ,friendly, serious(二)、能力目标学生能运用used to结构,谈论学生自己怎样与过去不同,能准确地描述自己的外貌、性格 的变化,灵活运用used to 结构处理和传递信息。能够表达自己现在和过去在外表、性格、爱好等方面的变化。(三)、情感目标培养学生积极健康的心态,学会谈论事物的发展和变化 时间飞逝,让学生有珍惜时间,努力奋斗的理念。 2. 教学重点/难点 一、 教学重点used to do sth. 过去经常 friendly 友好的humorous 幽默的 outgoing 外向的silent 沉默的 quiet 安静的serious 严肃的 medium height 中等身高二、 教学难点1本单元主要内容是学会used to结构。Used to +动词原形表示过去经常、以前常常,只用于过去式中,用来表示现在已不存在的习惯或状态。 例 如:They used to play football together他们过去常在一起蹋足球。(现在不在一起踢了)2used to的疑问形式和否定形式为Did you use to?和I didnt use to 也可以用Used you to?和I used not to教学过程 I. 课堂导入1Greet the students , divide them into 6 groups and show the languages goals.2Show a photo of my daughter on the screen, ask a student to describe her appearance and personality by using adjectives.S:She is cute , beautiful and a little shy.3. Review words to describe a persons appearance and personality according to some pictures.II. 课堂讲授1投影Section A -1a的表格,帮助学生回忆appearance和personality的含义。2把学生分为若干小组,比一比,看哪个小组在规定的时间内写出属于appearance和personality的单词多。3. Write down as many words as possible. The more ,the better. Give marks to them.4Show a photo of my daughter when she was 1 year old, and a photo now. Say “She was a little fat before, but now she is thin. She used to be outgoing, but now she is a little shy.”引出 used to 句型。 Give another example to show a pop starchange according to the pictures.5. Sentence competition.向学生展示热播节目 奔跑吧,兄弟!中明星今昔对比照,运用used to 句型操练,并给出答对学生组相应分数。6Introduce Bobs three friends. Ask students to try to describe them according to the picture. Look at the picture on P25 and talk about it.1)Who is Mario?2)Is he tall or short?3)Was he tall when he was young in the bubble?(/in the past?指在气泡中)And try guessing the answers in 1b on P25.Listen to the conversations and write down the answers. Then ask some students to say theirs to check .7. Make up a dialogue with your partner.A: Did Mario use to be short?B: Yes, he did. He used to be really short.A: Whats he like now?B: Hes tall now.8. Role-play the conversation 1c.9. Grammar.used to do sth.意思是“过去常常做某事”,表示过去经常做或一直做而现在不做,它只用于过去时态。(一)肯定句式:主语+used to+动词原形例如:I used to go to the cinema, but I never have time now.我过去经常去看电影,但现在没有时间了。He used to listen to pop music but now he likes rock music.他过去总听流行音乐,但现在喜欢摇滚了。(二)否定句式:A)主语+did not use to+动词原形B)主语+used not to+动词原形第一种否定句型,就是把used当做实义动词来看,所以变否定句要用助动词did;第二种否定句是把used当做情态动词,变否定句直接在used后面加not即可,used not可以缩写成usednt .美式英语通常用A种形式,英式英语常用B种形式。例如:You didnt use to drink.你过去不喝酒。The shop usednt to open on Sundays. 过去这家商店星期天不营业。10. Group work.“Who changes most?”Write down your own changes, including your personality , appearance and hobbies. Find out who changed most in your group. 变化最大的同学向全班同学报告结果。Eg.I used to be short,but now I am tall. I used to be shy, but now I am very outgoing, and I used to like playing ping-pong ,now I like playing basketball.At last, choose the winner group. Congratulations to them. 课堂小结 1.
