Cheek that the pupils have understood the words in the speech bubbles and that they have ticked the correct sentences.D. Consolidation: 1. Play a guessing game. Ask several pupils to come to the front. Ask the other pupils to close their eyes. Select one pupil from those in the front. Give the pupil a mask to hide behind. The other pupils open their eyes and try to guess the identity of the pupil behind the mask. 2. Read the sentences aloud. 3. Have a dialogue. 4. Finish Part A.E. Conclusion: 1. Part A. 2. A cross means that the name on the jumper is not their name, and their correct name is written in the thought bubble. d. Prepare different size of jumper with the names on the back of them. e. The sentence pattern in this part: Youre big. Are you Tom? Yes, I am. No, Im not.D. Consolidation: a. Play the pupils Book Cassette. Use Transparency to show the pupils how to trace over the dotted lines to indicate the route which the people take to see the animals. b. Invite some pupils to act as the little man and practice the sentence pattern. c. Check the pupils answers with the help of Transparency. d. Do Workbook p.23 and p.24 a) Ask the pupils to look at the pictures and listen to the Workbook Cassette.b) Ask the pupils to tick the correct pictures according to what theyhear on the tape. e. Have free talk with the sentence pattern.E. Conclusion: a. Practice the sentence pattern: Youre Big. Are you Tom? Yes, I am. No, Im not. b. Play a game.F. Homework: a. Act out the dialogue. b. Read the sample conversations at the top of the page between Tim and Ann. b) Show the pupils the grid at the bottom of the page. Tell the pupils they need to ask their friends questions in order to fill in the grid. c) Demonstrate using KoKo as an example. Ask two pupils to come to the front. Tell them to role-play Tim and KoKo. Point to the first of the pictures in KoKos thought bubble. Prompt the pupil role-playing Tim to ask KoKo Can you sing? Then prompt the pupils role-playing KoKo to answer according to the picture cue. Continue with the other pictures and show the pupils how and where to write the ticks and crosses. d) Get the pupils to work in groups of four. They take turns to find out what each can and cant do and tick or cross the grid accordingly.D. Consolidation: 1. Using the completed grids, the pupils can play a guessing game in the same groups of four. One pupil chooses one of the friends named and makes sentences pretending to be that friend. E.g. I can sing. / I cant dance./ I can read./ I can write. The others guess Youre (name). 2. Do WB P23 and P24 Ask the pupils to look at the pictures and listen to the Workbook Cassette. Ask the pupils to tick the correct pictures according to what they hear on the tape.E. Conclusion: Part C. Look and doF. Homework: WB P27 & 28G. Writing Unit 5 Revision Can you sing? Yes, I can.
