Key words:found, flag, until, off, vacation, season, kid, band, fourth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, twelfth, twentieth2. Key phrases:all kinds of, take a vacation, as soon as, since then, have one day off, have fun, get together3. Key sentences:(1) While were staying with our friends,were going to spend one day in Qingdao.(2) My family always go somewhere interesting as soon as the holiday begins.【能力目标】To understand the material about festivals and get key information.To express dates correctly.To talk about customs about festivals home and abroad and the differences between them.【情感目标】To understand festivals.To cherish Chinese traditional culture.教学重难点【教学重点】Learn the key words. 1. Warm-up Warming up and leading inT:Boys and girls,do you like festivals?Can you tell me something about Chinese festivals?S1:S2:.Then show some photos about Labour Day and ask some questions.1.Which public holiday are people celebrating?2.When is this holiday in China?S1:S2:.Today,we will learn something about public days.【设计意图】通过对有关节日问题的回答与讨论使学生更多地了解一些有关中国传统节日的知识; 通过展示图片, 从视觉上吸引学生,为他们建立直观的印象, 激发他们的兴趣, 使学生明确本单元的话题。为后续听力活动的开展作铺垫,顺利导入新课。Step II. Language points 1. anything special 特别的事情somewhere nice 很好的地方 somewhere interesting 有趣的地方 当形容词修饰不定代词时,应把形容词放在后面.I have something important to tell you. 我有一些重要的事情要告诉你。2. as soon as 一就 (主将从现)I will call you as soon as he comes back.拓展: as soon as / if(如果) (主将从现) If it doesnt rain , we will have a picnic tomorrow. 明天如果不下雨,我们就去野炊。3. found (vt.) 建立;创立The university was founded in 1970.拓展: found也是find的过去式和过去分词形式。 表示“发现;找到”I found a wallet on the ground.我在地上发现一个钱包。4. since then 自从那时起 from now on 从现在起 from then on 从那时起5. a three-day holiday 一个三天的假期此处three-day 是一个合成形容词,它有两个特点:(1) 中间必须有“-”;(2) 后面的名词必须用单数。6. have great fun 玩得开心 = have a good time / enjoy oneselfDid you have great fun on my birthday party?你在我的生日聚会上玩的开心吗?【拓展】have great fun (in) doing sth. 做某事很开心The kids are having great fun playing in the park now. 【设计意图】进一步理解文本重难点。Step VI.
