Which of the following is the best title (题目) for the passage?AFranks familyBFranks birthdayCA Busy DayDThe Sports DayDoes heavy use of cell phones lead to a risk of cancer? This question has caused serious arguments for many years. A new study in rats now adds to those concerns. Its data linked long-term, intense exposure (强烈的暴露) to radiation (辐射) from cell phones with an increased risk of cancer in the heart or brain. The results have yet to be confirmed(确认), the authors note. Moreover, they add, its not yet clear what the findings may mean in terms of human health.Indeed, although the rat study found a link between cell-phone radiation and cancer, it offers no clues to why such a link might exist, says Jonathan Samet. He teaches preventative medicine and directs the Institute for Global Health at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Still, he calls the new studys findings “important”. They could lead to studies looking into how cell-phone radiation might result in cancer, he says.Phone signals are relayed between cell towers and cell phones through radio waves. This radio frequency or RF radiation is a type known as non-ionizing(非离子化). Unlike X-rays and alpha particles, non-ionizing radiation does not put enough energy into cells to release electrons from atoms(原子) or molecules(分子), producing ions(离子). So it tends to be far less harmful than ionizing radiation, such as X-rays. But that does not mean radio waves might not cause harm. This radiation will heat the body and cause tissue damage. But its not yet known what much lower RF levels might do, such as those from cell-phone use. Five years ago, the World Health Organizations International Agency for Research on Cancer, or IARC, concluded that cell-phone use “is possibly carcinogenic.” That means it might cause cancer. Its conclusion was based on what little research data were available at that time. But notice that IARC was not certain. It said only that phone use might “possibly” cause cancer. So scientists at the National Toxicology Program, or NTP, decided to investigate further.39 . What concern does a new study cause?ALong- term, intense radiation exists in cell phones.BHeavy use of cell phones leads to a risk of cancer.CThe new study has caused serious arguments for many years.DPeople have intense exposure to radiation.40 . What has been confirmed according to the new study?AIf people use cell phones all the time, they will certainly have cancer.BThe reason why the link between cell-phone and cancer exists is known.CWhat much RF levels might do, such as those from cell- phone use is already clear.DThere is a link between cell-phone radiation and cancer.41 . What does the underlined word “relay” mean in Paragraph 4?ATo pass a message from one place to anotherBTo existCTo release electricity from atoms or moleculesDTo cause cancer42 . Who will look into the research further?ADoctor Jonathan Samet.BThe Institute for Global Health at the University of Southern California.CThe author of this article.DScientists at the National Toxicology Program, or NTP.43 . Where is the article possibly from?AAn educational magazine .BA science website.CA science fiction .DA fashion report.Even the closest star to us, Proxima Centauri, is very far away.Scientists would love to get a closer look at this star and its planets. But the fastest spaceship ever built would take nearly 75,000 years to get there. Thats just too long!Scientists have come up with a plan-send a group of very tiny spaceships. Why tiny? The smaller something is, the easier it is to make it go fast. Theyre hoping a group of stamp-sized ships(Star Chips)could travel fast enough to reach Proxima Centauri in just 20 years. There they could take pictures and collect information. If there is any life there, the Star Chips might be able to find it-and say hello from Earth. Each Star Chip will carry a tiny camera, thrusters, and sensors. It will ride a sail about the size of a picnic table. The plan is to send many, in case some dont make it.Scientists hope that their tiny Star Chips will be able to reach a speed of 134 million miles(216 million km)an hour. First, the rocket will take the Star Chips to space. Once in space, they will open their shining sails. Then, people on Earth will shoot out lasers at the sails. All those lasers shot at the sails will push the Star Chips so fast that they will reach the moon in just two minutes. The computer chip at the heart of each Star Chip is tiny like the ones in mobile phones. None of the other technologies has been built yet. The hardest part will be the lasers, which have to be extremely powerful. The team will also need to invent a light, strong, and very shiny material for the sails, and tiny cameras powerful enough to take pictures of planets. And theyll have to find a way to send those pictures back to Earth. Theres a lot of work ahead. But if they succeed, the heart of a mobile phone may be the very first interstellar traveler.44 . Scientists plan to invent the Star Chip mainly because it .Acould send messages to other planetsBcould take photos and collect informationCcould find life in other stars and planetsDcould be small enough to travel much faster45 . Powerful lasers will be shot at Star Chips to .Amake sure Star Chips wont be hit in spaceBsend Star Chips to space from Earth safelyCopen the strong and shining sails of Star ChipsDgive Star Chips enough energy to travel in space46 . What technologies about Star Chips are still waiting to be built? The way to send pictures back to Earth. The strong and shiny material for the sails. The tiny cameras able to take photos of planets. The chip as small as the ones in mobile phones.ABCD47 .
