T(take out a clock and adjust it to the different time of morning, afternoon and evening) T: Good afternoon. / Good evening. /Good night. Then give the clock to different groups and let S greet at different time. 2.The teacher introduces himself or herself to the class, including Chinese name and English name.T: Good morning. I am / My name is The teacher asks a student: T: What is your name? S: I am / My name is 3.T takes out a picture of Millie with the name on the other side or at the bottom of the picture and asks “What is her name?”. Ss: She is Millie. T: Well, Millie is in class 1, Grade 7 now. she meets many new friends. Who are they? Lets come to know them.(one by one from Amy to Daniel with the pictures.)1.The students give the right answers to the teachers questions.S1: S2:2.The students in the same group ask each other to get a short dialogue. S1:Good morning. S2: S1:Whats your name”? S2:3.Play a game “ Who is coming?” Tell the class the name of the student quickly. ( groups competition . First in the same group, and then one group to another to see which group is faster) Learn about the greetings and meet the new friends by making conversations with each other.Step3: presentation of the comic strips1.T:You all do a good job. Ill show you a picture.(With a picture of Eddie together with the name Eddie )I have a dog. Im its master.(read it) Its name is.S: Eddie!T: Read again! (twice) I look after it. I cook breakfast for it every day. Who looks after you? Can you say something with “look after”? 1. Learn about some new words and something about Eddie and Hobo.2. Answer the questions and check their answers.3.
