英语励志短文带翻译 励志英语演讲小短文 yes, yes, yes, its a new day, its a different day, and its a bright day! and most importantly, it is a new beginning for your life, a beginning where you are going to make new desicisions, take new actions, make new friends, and take your life to a totally unprecedented level! in your minds eye, you can see clearly the things you want to have, the paces you intend to go, the relationships you desire to develop, and the positions you aspire to reach. you can hear your laughters of joy and happineon the day when everything happens as you dream. you can see the smiles on the people around you when the magic moment strikes. you can feel your face is getting red, your heart is beating fast, and your blood is rushing all over your body, to every single corner of your being!篇二:英语演讲小短文 smiling i think smiling is as important as sunshine. smiling is like sunshine because it can make people happy and have a good day. if you aren?t happy, you can smile, and then you will feel happy. someone may say, “but i don?t feel happy.” then i would say, “please smile as you do when you are happy or play with your friends happily. you will really be happy again.” smiling can let you have more friends.so i say, smiling is like a flower. it will give you happiness. how to get happiness 如何获得快乐 there is no doubt that happiness is the most precious thing in the world. without it, life will be empty and meaningless. if you wish to know how to get happiness, you must pay attention to the following two points. first, health is the secret of happiness (the key to happiness). only a strong man can enjoy the pleasure of life. secondly, happiness consists in contentment. a man who is dissatisfied with hispresent condition is always in distress. industry (diligence) 勤勉 it is a matter of course that industry will bring us suess, wealth and good luck. i am sure that a hard-working person can always sueed in the work which he wants to do. this is unchangeable truth. idleness is the opposite of industry. it is the source of all evil. an idle man only enjoys playing and making pleasures. that he is doomed to failure is of no doubt. we should not follow his example. whether sixty or sixteen, there is in every human beings heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of whats next and the joy of the game of living. in the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long are you young. friends 朋友 a true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart. theres always going to be people that hurt you, so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around. make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you. remember: whatever happens, happens for a reason. how many people actually have 8 true friends? hardly anyone i know. but some of us have all right friends and good friends. love your life 热爱生活 hey david thoreau/享利. 梭罗 however mean your life is, meet it and live it; do not shun it and call it hard names. it is not so bad as you are. it looks poorest when you are richest. the faultfinder will find faults in paradise. love your life, poor as it is. you may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. the setting sun is reflected from the windows of the alms-house as brightly as from the rich mans abode; the snow melts before its door as early in the spring. i do not see but a quiet mind may live as contentedly there, and have as cheering thoughts, as in a palace. the towns poor seem to me often to live the most independent lives of any. may be they are simply great enough to receive without misgiving. most think that they are above being supported by the town; but it often happens that they are not above supporting themselves by dishonest means. which should be more disreputable. cultivate poverty like a garden herb, like sage. do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends, turn the old, return to them. things do not change; we change. sell your clothes and keep your thoughts. love your life however mean your life is,meet it and love it ;do not call it hard names.it is not so bad as you are.it looks poorest when you are richest.love your life, poor as it is.you may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorioushours, even in a poor-house.the setting sun is reflected from the windows of the alms-house as brightly as from the rich mans abode;the snow melts before its door as early in the spring.i do not see but a quiet mind may live as contentedly there, and have as cheering thoughts,as in a palace.most thinkthat they are above being supported by the town;but it often happens that they are not above supporting themselves by dishonest means.do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends, turn the old, return to them.things do not change;we change.sell your clothes and keep your thoughts. 篇三:英语演讲小短文the life i desired 我所追求的生活 威廉. 毛姆/william somerset maugham that must be the story of innumerable couples, and the pattern of life of life it offers has a homely grace. it reminds you of a placid rivulet, meandering smoothly through green pastures and shaded by pleasant trees, till at last it falls into the vastly sea; but the sea is so calm, so silent, so indifferent, that you are troubled suddenly by a vague uneasiness. perhaps it is only by a kink in my nature, strong in me even in those days, that i felt in such an existence, the share of the great majority, something amiss. i recognized its social value. i saw its ordered happiness, but a fever in my blood asked for a wilder course. there seemed to me something alarming in such easy delights. in my heart was desire to live more dangerously. i was not unprepared for jagged rocks and treacherous, shoals it i could only have change-change and the excitement of unforeseen. 只要生活中还能有变迁以及不可知的刺激,我愿意踏上 怪石嶙峋的山崖,奔赴暗礁满布的海滩 just a little bit more(再努力一点点) lots of people lose hope at the so-called 11th hour1. in sports terms, we say that they lose life, but the truth is they can. the 11th hour is the point when most people feel the pain. it is an important moment that and sueed. those who dont put in extra effort leave the race with nothing. all they need to win the race is a little extra effort at that last point. this is the difference between winners and losers. i know you have the ability to be a champion. the race will not be easy, but it can be won. you need to put in extra effort when trying to achieve your goal. just do a little bit more. this is what will separate you from others who seek to be where you are. when you want to give up or slow down because you feel tired, try to keep on going until you reach the finishing line. you can do it because you still have strength within you. its a new day今天又是新的一天 yes, its a new day, its a different day, and its a bright day! in your mind, you can see clearly the things you want to have, the places you intend to go, the relationships1 you desire to develop and the positions you aspire to reach. i know you must do it, you can do it, you will do it and you will sueed! now stand firm and tall, get excited and shout it out: i must do it! i can do it! i will do it! i will sueed! We often close ourselves off when traumatic events happen in our lives; instead of letting the world soften us, we let it drive us deeper into ourselves. We try to deflect the hurt and pain by pretending it doesnt exist, but although we can try this all we want, in the end, we cant hide from ourselves. We need to learn to open our hearts to the potentials of life and let the world soften us. Whenever we start to let our fears and seriousness get the best of us, we should take a step back and re-evaluate our behavior. The items listed below are six ways you can open your heart more fully and pletely. 1. Breathe into pain 直面痛苦 Whenever a painful situation arises in your life, try to embrace it instead of running away or trying to mask the hurt. When the sadness strikes, take a deep breath and lean into it. When we run away from sadness thats unfolding in our lives, it gets stronger and more real. We take an emotion thats fleeting and make it a solid event, instead of something that passes through us. By utilizing our breath we soften our experiences. If we dam them up, our lives will stagnate, but when we keep them flowing, we allow more newness and greater experiences to blossom. 2. Embrace the unfortable 拥抱不安 We all know what that twinge of anxiety feels like. We know how fear feels in our bodies: the tension in our necks, the tightness in our stomachs, etc. We can practice leaning into these feelings of disfort and let them show us where we need to go. The initial impulse is to run away to try and suppress these feelings by not acknowledging them. When we do this, we close ourselves off to the parts of our lives that we need to experience most. The next time you have this feeling of being truly unfortable, do yourself a favor and lean into the feeling. Act in spite of the fear. 3. Ask your heart what it wants Were often confused at the next step to take, making pros and cons lists until our eyes bleed and our brains are sore. Instead of always taking this approach, what if we engaged a new part of ourselves that isnt usually involved in the decision making process? I know weve all felt decisions or actions that we had to take simply due to our “gut” impulses: when asked, we cant explain the reasons behind doing so just a deep knowing that it had to get done. This instinct is the part of ourselves were approaching for answers. To start this process, take few deep breaths then ask, “Heart, what decision should I make here? What action feels the most right?” See what es up, then engage and evaluate the oute. 01 Television Television - the most pervasive and persuasive of modern technologies, marked by rapid change and growth is moving into a new era, an era of extraordinary sophistication and versatility, which promises to reshape our lives and our world. It is an electronic revolution of sorts, made possible by the marriage of television and puter technologies. The word television, derived from its Greek (tele: distant) and Latin (visio: sight) roots, can literally be interpreted as sight from a distance. Very simply put, it works in this way: through a sophisticated system of electronics, television provides the capability of converting an image(focused on a special photoconductive plate within a camera) into electronic impulses, which can be sent through a wire or cable. These impulses, when fed into a receiver (television set), can then be electronically reconstituted into that same image. Television is more than just an electronic system, however. It is a means of expression, as well as a vehicle for munication, and as such bees a powerful tool for reaching other human beings. The field of television can be divided into two categories determined by its means of transmission. First, there is broadcast television, which reaches the masses through broad-based airwave transmission of television signals. Second, there is nonbroadcast television, which provides for the needs of individuals or specific interest groups through controlled transmission techniques. Traditionally, television has been a medium of the masses. We are most familiar with broadcast television because it has been with us for about thirty-seven years in a form similar to what exists today. During those years, it has been controlled, for the most part, by the broadcast works, ABC, NBC, and CBS, who have been the major purveyors (货物、服务、消息等的提供者,供应者)of news, information, and entertainment. These giants of broadcasting have actually shaped not only television but our perception of it as well. We have e to look upon the picture tube as a source of entertainment, placing our role in this dynamic medium as the passive viewer. 02 Andrew Carnegie Andrew Carnegie, known as the King of Steel, built the steel industry in the United States, and, in the process, became one of the wealthiest men in America. His suess resulted in part from his ability to sell the product and in part from his policy of expanding during periods of economic decline, when most of his petitors were reducing their investments. Carnegie believed that individuals should progress through hard work, but he also felt strongly that the wealthy should use their fortunes for the benefit of society. He opposed charity, preferringinsteadto provide educationalopp
