1、Unit 6 Can I take your order?Analysis of the Text(教材分析):本课是英语1中的Unit 6的Lead-in和Speaking 两部分,Lead-in在整个单元中能够起到激发学生学习新topic的兴趣,Speaking在整个单元中是重中之重,通过反复操练重点句型,让学生掌握餐厅用餐的日常用语。学生在学习本课的过程中可以习得并复习一些单词、短语与句型,能够生动活泼的阅读文章的对话,学生能够获取文章中的主要信息,通过反复操练新句型,学生能够进行简单的英语交流,能够了解西方国家的用餐习惯以及中西餐饮文化的不同,学生能够养成正确的生活习惯,即饮食中不能铺
2、张浪费,不能吃太多垃圾食品。Analysis of the Students(学生分析):学生已有基础新授课内容可能出现的问题改进措施知识基础词汇量少生单词,短语搭配词汇生疏,短语用法不清晰图片记忆法文化差异意识比较浅薄中西方餐饮文化的差异对基本的用餐礼仪及日常的用语不是很了解通过图文向学生生动地介绍文化背景差异技能储备听说技能导入与听说部分生词、短语影响学生的学习兴趣课前预习、课上反复操练新句型,养成记笔记的习惯I. Teaching Objectives:1. Knowledge Objectives:1). Students are able to comprehend and gras
3、p the usages of words and phrases related to restaurant, such as menu, juice, waiter, waitress, delicious and manager.2). Students are capable of acquiring the new sentence patterns:Can I take your order?What would you like to eat/ drink?Would you like.? 2. Ability Objectives: 1).Students can use si
4、mple expressions about ordering food and giving suggestions.2). Students have the ability of understanding English menus.3).Students can communicate in English by using these new sentence patterns. 3. Emotional Objectives:1) . Students can get awareness of the difference of table cultures between Ch
5、ina and English-speaking countries.2). Students can acquire a good habit of not wasting food and not eating too much junk food.II. Teaching Difficult and Key points:1. To understand and acquire the new words, phrases and sentence patterns is of great significance. 2. To order food and give suggestio
6、ns by using new expressions is quite difficult.III. Teaching Methods: Students-oriented approach, brainstorming, communicative approach, task-based approach, and audio-lingual approach.IV. Teaching Aids: PPT, radio and pictures.V. Teaching Procedures:Step 1. Warming up:(5 min)Show a picture in a res
7、taurant and ask the following two questions. 1. Where are they?2. Brainstorm the difference of table cultures between China and English-speaking countries.(Teaching intentions: students can be interested in the topic and pay their attention to the class easily and happily. )Step 2. Presentation: (8
8、min)1. Tick the words related to restaurants, which are food, menu, juice, chicken, fish, tomato, waiter, waitress, delicious, manager, and beef.2. Look at the pictures on page 84, and complete the blanks on page 84.(Teaching intentions: students can sweep away the words obstacles and stimulate stud
9、ents interest by showing pictures. )Step 3. Listening & Speaking: (8 min)1. Listen to the tape carefully, and underline the sentences about ordering food and giving suggestions.2. Divide the whole class into two groups; one group acts as the waiter and the other group acts as Sara. While reading, pa
10、y attention to pronunciations.Step 4. Practice: (10min)1. The teacher analyzes the difficult words and sentence expressions. 2. Show pictures of foods and drinks; students practice as many times as possible by using the following sentence patterns:A: Can I take your order? What would you like to eat
11、 / drink?Would you like .?What about you?B: Yes, please. / No, thanks.Id like .Id like . / Ill have the same.(Teaching intentions: students can grasp the difficult sentence patterns by practice to improve their speaking abilities.)Step 5. Role Play: (6 min) Set a scene: You are in a restaurant to ha

The waiter/ waitress is here waiting for your order.Ask several students to act it out.(Teaching intentions: students can improve their ability of communication and also get awareness of co-operation. Its a good way to use English to do things and at the same time it is n
