(Section A 1A-2C)课时:1课时教材分析:核心话题为“interesting events”,以讲述过去发生的故事,学习过去实行时在具体环境当中的应用。如何使用过去实行时是本单元的重难点。学情分析:农村中学学生绝绝大部分应用水平薄弱,在课堂表现欲望不强,很不自信。为了激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣, 使学生树立自信心,在教SectionA时,充分利用多媒体,
2、图片,实物,简笔画,使英语学习与学生的实际生活更贴近,让他们从中获得成功感,激发学习英语的热情,树立信心。教学目标:知识与水平:1、单词barber, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, alien, bought, land, got, while,get out of, take off2、学习过去实行时的构成及用法, 能用过去实行时态叙述过去发生的事3、掌握when 与while 引导的时间状语从句过程与方法:合作 探究情感态度价值观:激发学生探索大自然奥秘的兴趣教学重难点:1、过去实行时态以及when、while引导的状语从句。2、过去实行时态的概念、构成及其用法。
3、教学方法: 1.任务型教学法 2.情景教学法 3.交际教学法教学用具: 多媒体,录音机、磁带、图片教学步骤:Step 1 Warm up1、Exchange greetings with the Ss.2、Duty report:It is between two students. They are having a dialogue. 3、Enjoy a clip of film about the UFO设计意图: 热情地与学生打招呼以拉近与学生之间的距离,值日生每天的值日报告能够锻炼学生的胆量和口语。而关于UFO的电影营造宽松的学习环境,同时也为新课教学做好铺垫。Step 2 Revi
4、sion1.Show four animation pictures on the screen. After showing the pictures, ask:-What is Jims mother doing? -She is cooking.-What is Jims father doing? -He is watching TV. -What is Jim doing? -He is sleeping late.-What is Jims brother doing?. -He is getting out of the shower.设计意图:复习实行时态2. Lead the
5、 students into the real situations: Ask one boy student: What are you doing now? The student may answer: I am listening to you. Ask the whole class: What is he doing? The whole class answer: He is listening to you. Repeat this with one girl student. Practice with the whole class, trying to revise th
6、e tense with different personal pronouns.设计意图: 反复的操练,让学生更熟练的掌握现在实行时,并使用于现实中。 Step 3 Leading in(introduce the past continuous tense to the students)Ask one student (student A) to leave the room and wait outside the door.Then ask two students to do actions, one (students B) is writing on the blackboar
7、d and the other (student C) is drawing a picture. They keep doing it without stopping until I ask them to stop. 2. Ask student B: What are you doing?Student B answers: I am writing on the blackboard.(Write the sentence on the blackboard as blackboard work)Repeat this with student C, write: I am draw
8、ing a picture. 3. Ask the student outside to come in and sit down. Then ask the two students who are doing actions sit down too. 4. After finishing the painting, T: What were you doing when the UFO arrived? Help the students to answer: I was doing my homework ./ I was walking on the street./ I was w
9、atching TV.(Write their answers on the blackboard. eg. I was doing my homework)Then,T : He was doing my homework.(Ask the class to repeat.)5. Ask some other students the questions.6. Then students ask and answer in pairs: What were you doing when the UFO arrived? I was .ing.7. Point to the blackboar
10、d-writing( During my teaching above, I have written it on the blackboard step by step). Help them to find out the differences between the two pairs of sentences. Tell the students:Today we are going to learn a new tense -the past continuous tense.Introduce the past continuous tense.设计意图:UFO是神秘而令人充满幻

12、学生比较两种时态的区别,这样就简单明了多了。Step 4 Section A 1a1. Show a picture of all kinds of UFOs and ask Ss: What is UFO? Do you know? Help Ss answer: Unidentified Flying Object2. Show a picture of all kinds of aliens and ask: What does the alien look like? Ss answer according to their imaginations.3. Show a picture
13、 (the picture on page 18) on the screen. Tell about the picture with the students. Say: A reporter was asking some people “What were you doing when the UFO arrived?” If you want to know what they were doing. Please open your books, lets look at 1a. please look at the picture and match the statements
14、 with the people in the picture4. Pairwork : Where were you when the UFO arrived? I was inStep 5 Section A (1b)1.In order to transit from 1a to 1b naturally. I say: Would you like to know what the reporter was asking? Now please look at the picture and listen to the reporters questions and circle th
15、e correct responses. Pairwork: What were you doing when the UFO arrived? 16、 UFO arrived?B: She was standing in front of the library.Ask students to ask and answer in pairs设计意图:再次通过1a 的图片操练本节课的重点句型,使学生都熟练掌握。Step 7 Section A (2a)、(2b)1.Look at the picture in 2a and tell what the alien did after he arrived at Center Street. Ss answer according to the phrases beside the pictur
17、e. 2.I say: Please listen and find out what did the alien do first and what did he do next. Put these phrases in order.3.After Ss finish it. Check the answer. 4. Work on (2b) Listen again. Complete the following sentences with “when” or “while”. Then check the answer. Listen and repeat.Ask Ss to loo

As soon as one picture with corresponding time appears, it disap
20、pears very quickly (about several seconds).The whole class is divided into four teams. If one student knows the answer, he must stand up quickly before the second one stands up.
