1、The Old Testament ?The Bible of Judaism is the same as The Old Testament of Christianty and so totals 39 books and falls into three parts, namely Pentateuch (5 books) , Prophets (21 books) , and Hagiographa &Apocrypha (13 books). 15、ments and the covenant with Yahweh. The central theme of Deuteronomy is the covenant between Yahweh and Israel. 18、Samuel , the religious leader and prophet of Israel , offers wise leadership and some touching stories of David and Jonathan . How David felt sorry for the deaths of both Saul and Jonathan and shows Davids varied character . the Kings The first part deals with Davids death and Solomons glorious achi

19、evements and gives many accounts of the kings and tribal leaders of both Israel and Judah and the leadership of Elias and his prophecy. The second part begins with Elias , stories and how he ascends to the heaven . The Latter Prophets Books Contents Amos eim?s Amos, who was originally a herdsman , a

20、nd asked by God to warn the Israelites of possible danger of immorality . Hosea h?uzi? Hosea describes Hosea as lived about the same time as Aoms , the last prophet of Israel . He followed the Aomsteaching but his words were more sharptongued in comparing Israel to a prostitute who abandoned Jehovah

21、 the spouse she loved. Isaias aizai?s Isaias is made up of at least two parts . The first 39sections were written by Isaiah himself , but the latter part were writings composed 200 years afterwards. Jeremiah , d?erimai? Jeremiah tells of the prophet of that name living reoughly during the period of the Babylonian Captivity. Ezekiel izi: kj?l Ezelkiel tells of prophet and a priest . He once predicted the overthrow of Judah. Esdras ezdr?s Esdras describes a famous priest during the Babylonian Captivity . He is said to be the rebuilder of the Holy Palace .He devoted all his intelligenc
